Not sure there are any pay as you play what aren’t geared toward socializing. There is a decent membership option at the PGSS in West Lakeview and at the Sim Club in the south loop. Both of those are more just golf

Map Room was and is still great, but it was much more necessary when the city wasn’t blanketed with places where you could get great beer. Still a cool vibe, but there’s lots of those, too.

You can make reservations up to a week in advance online and they frequently book up. But they hold a few spots for same day reservations by phone.
