Long time lurker first time poster looking to #GetInvolved in the Chicagoland Roost this year. Currently residing in the West Town area of the city, and get a lot of my golfing done in the southwestern suburbs.
This guy runs on Rosangela’s pizza and miller lite.
I created my refuge name when NLU first introduced the Nest and have been trying to figure out how to change my name for a while with no luck. Any direction on how to rename would be appreciated.
As far as getting involved in 2025, what are the next steps?

We just opened up sign up for our annual GFPD scramble fundraiser in honor of my son Max. It’ll be Friday May 16th here in Normal at Weibring Golf Club (ISU). I know there’s a few in this thread that have discussed playing in the past, so wanted to share it here. We usually sell out within a couple of days, so don’t wait long if you want to join in. Would love to see a Refuge foursome out there. This is our 10th year and each year it amazes me.
Also, as we get closer we do an Online Auction as well the week of the event - if anyone has any fun rounds or anything they’d like to donate I’m all ears! Chicago area stuff is always a good draw. Thank you!

Did a quick search and haven’t seen this covered in depth, but apologies if I missed it somewhere. Anyone have a good pay as you go simulator facility? Used to be a member at The Green, then switched to the Sim Club. Ended up leaving The Green when they radically changed the membership policy and had a membership at Sim Club for over a year but wasn’t getting my money’s worth, especially in the summer. I suppose I can go to The Green or Five Iron and pay the hourly rate, but both are obviously geared more towards groups and the food/drink aspect. Looking more for a golf-only place that I can get for an hour or two and pay an hourly rate.
I’ve gotten Instagram ads for Parennial, which seems like it has that option. Any other similar places? I live in Wicker but pretty flexible on location as long as it’s within 30 minutes drive or so.
