I only played a hospital charity scramble there, would like to see again when I’m not just handed a driver or 3W and told to send it on aggressive lines. There was some decent elevation changes if I recall, but it also was a shotgun start so I can’t recall hole numbers.

Nowhere close. Wynstone was actually pretty good, I thought. It doesn’t feel like there’s as much water as the aerials show. There’s maybe one or two goofy holes, but I feel like they’d be a lot less goofy if I played it again. Like Stone Bridge’s muscled up big brother.

That bunker is so big that it doesn’t really feel like that big of a carry. Also, I doubt we played it from 190. More like 160 or so if I remember. Or shorter.

If this is supposed to represent the entire state, I’d like to cordially invite this list-maker to explore Central Illinois golf a bit. Lick Creek, The Den, Metamora Fields should probably make the list, and maybe the new Atkins redone course in Champaign (though I haven’t played it yet).
