Those bunkers are noticeably shallower. I was skeptical it would be that big of a difference but seeing it now, that should legit make the course easier and faster to play

Hey guys,
Didn’t have a lot of luck going back in this thread for course recommendations and reviews, but I had a ton of luck trying this in the Phoenix/Scottsdale thread so I figured I’d give it another shot. Going to be stopping in the Chicagoland area on the way back from a baby shower in WI June 1/2 and my wife said we can play a round before we head back to Detroit on Sunday.
We haven’t gotten a hotel yet so almost any area will work. Just want to find the an enjoyable course for us. Have narrowed the list to Highlands of Elgin, The Glen Club, Mistwood, Ravisloe, Harborside, and Calumet Country Club (I know it’s not the best on the list but I like the idea of playing it before it becomes an Amazon warehouse). Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well! Thanks in advance.

Yes, I’m a 13 and she’ll shoot 110-120 (with the majority of those coming in the last 30 yards of the hole.) She can get around almost anywhere that doesn’t have a bunch of forced carries.

I’m travelling up to play in the I-80 this weekend at Sanctuary in New Lenox and will be playing a practice round around 4 on Thursday… would appreciate the opportunity to meet or play with some 2CGC guys, but understand either way. DMs are open to all

Sturtevant. I did some research and didn’t see any must plays nearby so we figured driving down to Chicago after would make our drive back to Detroit after the round easier.

Shepherd’s Crook is just on the IL side of the border on your way down.
Spring Valley CC, home to the legendary Burban Memorial, is a short jog west of 94, maybe slightly out of the way but not much.

Looking to watch the PGA this weekend with like-minded golf nuts - assume places like the Green and 5i will be showing it? Anyone have experiences going there on major Sundays?
