Worst: mill creek front nine
2: back tee is extremely difficult and tees are never there. It’s a 230 high cut over water that has to avoid a tree
6: have to squeeze through a small gap off the tee
8: it’s a blind par 3 with a bunker that is not even in play in between the tee and green
LOVE how big the 17th green is - which means lots of different yardages, pin locations, slopes and pockets on the green, lots of tee boxes as well for variety.
I’m so glad 18 isn’t one of those 450+ par 4 closers. Tee shot is EVERYTHING, second shot is fun but not impossible, one of the more underrated closers in the area IMO
EDIT: Pine Meadow might be the most frustrating course in the area - given just how good a lot of those holes are and how good that land is. But the Par 3’s are kinda snoozers, the front 9 is sleepy and a little unimaginative, but that entire back 9 is one of the best in the area. That and they usually charge an arm and a leg to play it…
I need to play later in the season (hello, Ope’n), the view from the tee screamed be below the hole. I had front right pin and flew 8 feet over, thought the putt would roll off the green but left 2 inches short. This was still early season so had some grip on the grass.
Loved the visuals and hole, could see length being a challenge for some.
At one point Rick Jacobson did some renovations to the course. I can’t remember if it was 13 or 5 but he told me he didn’t touch it because it was his only ace at the time
has no one said Ravisloe? At least for public courses it has 5 that look and feel pretty different, and present a variety of challenges. Only knock is that 4, 6, & 15 all play in the same direction.
Yah I now realize I put the yardages and handicaps but not the holes. It’s 6 and 13 that are the long ones. 4 plays straight uphill, so the forward tees aren’t even much of an advantage.
