Anybody still have a Ryder cup ticket for Thursday or Friday??

Anyone interested in Thursday practice round tickets? My brother has 2 available. Make an offer. We are in Dubuque and can be picked up or we can ship over night on Tuesday to get them to you on Wednesday

Alright, just treated myself to a Friday ticket. I’ll be driving up from the city as early as possible. Who else will be up there? Should we get a whatsapp group together?

@David_is_Goliath and I have a tee time at Ravisloe on Sunday at 11:20.

There are 2 spots open if anyone would like to join

If anyone wants free tickets to the Schaumburg Boomers Games Today or Wednesday 630 start DM your name and # of tickets. They are playing for the Frontier League Championship.

I should have yay or nay in the next hour or so.

What’s up Guis,

I recently migrated from “downstate” (Bloomington) IL to the Northwest Burbs (Wheeling). I’m looking forward to #GetInvolved with your Chicagoland scene! I can already see from recent activity that this is a good group

I’m definitely down to jump into a few golf games in the future. In the meantime, does anyone have some suggestions for courses to add to my hit list?

Since you’re in Wheeling, worth mentioning that Buffalo Grove park district is a fun course. Not overly long but a great way to spend the afternoon. Rob Roy and Arlington Lakes are also shorter courses which have some decent green complexes and won’t break the bank.

Highlands of Elgin. Same designer as Shepherds crook with a little bigger footprint.

Fondly enough, two excellent postoperative land use developments.

Blackstone was super good. Reminded me of a worse version of University Ridge and a better version of Thunderhawk and Stonewall. Cool routing too, but ya no one should ever walk that. Not sure 3,7, or 14 were good/fair holes but oh well. I got 2 fried eggs from fairway bunkers which destroyed my round.

Here is my poorly thought out top ten for Chicagoland from what I’ve played.

  1. Mount Prospect
  2. Shepherds Crook
  3. Bowes Creek
  4. Schaumburg
  5. Highlands of Elgin
  6. Glenview
  7. Cog Hill 2
  8. Blackstone
  9. Bonnie Brook
  10. Ravisloe

Should probably bump out Ravisloe for Sunset Valley at this point

Bump Ravisloe for Kankakee Elks it’s worth the extra 25 minute drive

Speaking of KKCC anyone want to make the trip down on Sunday? Thinking early morning round with some early morning McDonald’s

Why is Ravisloe so low on your ranking? I’m playing there this Sunday.

Conditioning. I just played there yesterday. Love the course, but those tee boxes are rough and the course in general is quite shaggy.
