Does anyone know if the grint does the weather adjustment?
I think the world handicap system (WHS) collects info from all the various handicap reporting organizations. So it’s not that you need 8+ people to post a score all from a specific association on that course that day, but you would need 8+ through any association (Grint, 18 birdies, CDGA, USGA, R&A, etc) because they share one database. I think it’s safe to assume you’re going to get 8+ on a typical course that sees 150+ rounds a day.
@TeddyPargame ya since the Grint uses the WHS, i’d have to assume that it does the PCC adjust
Played Coyote Run for the first time yesterday, pretty solid value at $60 aside from that wind. Fairways were incredibly firm, I’m talking 30 yard roll outs on hybrids. Greens were smooth but also crazy fast…pretty hard to make a 5 footer when the wind moves it 6 inches one way or another! I’ll have to get back out there on a normal day to appreciate some of the subleties a bit more.
Also – i know nothing about this… anybody know anything? is this something? course looks worth checking out:
there was some discussion in the michigan thread recently and this article -
wow. looks awesome. thanks!
I’ll go, but only if Barbara is the one that plays Taps.
Any questions, feel free to shoot me a DM. The place was awesome
Just joined Prairie Landing with the practice membership. Their facilities alone are insane. Also unlimited tee times after 3:30 is nice
And SUUUUCH a fun layout too
Heard back from Shepherds Crook regarding a fall outing. 10/16 is the proposed date, if anyone has any major qualms with that, let me know and I’ll see what else is open. If this gets enough likes I’ll create a new thread under events as well. Any all comments welcome, including name ideas and format. (Bent at the Crook?)
Notes:
$59 per person w/ cart (Will see about rates for walking instead)
$10 for 1/2 lb hamburger/cheeseburger, foot long brat or 1/3 lb hotdog, this includes chips, fountain drink and cookie at the turn.
For those that haven’t been up recently, they built a new patio on back and on side with rocking chairs. Great place to hang post round and watch groups come up 18 and 9. Sorry for the poor quality but you get the idea.
does this event take the place of Lost at the Marsh?
HELL. YES.
Yep, I think it’s a better option. Plus Lost Marsh wanted upfront money to book/reserve anything. And cheaper. And better course.
And it is on the calendar, all the way in.
After this photo was taken @Pinehurts played the gale force wind perfectly and shaped a nice little fade about 8 feet below the hole…then no one on our scramble team made the birdie putt.
Ok, new signup below. I apologize to those who signed up for the phantom outing at Lost March, collectively we’re just better off at course with a decent layout. Many details are TBD, but we’re capping at 40 people. There’s space at the bottom for alternate/reserves as well.
Illinois has a bye week!!!
I’m in. Leggo.
Hell yeah let’s get the Crook on the books
