Just gotta email the pro after work today to confirm, but we are good to go for Mt. Prospect GC on Saturday, June 5th, 2021. Limited field of 40 (there will be an alternates list) to avoid people flaking like Cog Hill. Once we’re good to go I’ll push out the Google signup form here and on the RACDG Whatsapp thread.

Glad to meet you @TCRBrad. Would love to chat about it. The way the redesign plays homage to the best holes in the UK is fantastic. Love the Principal’s nose on 1 and it is so easy to walk. Additionally, top notch short game practice facility. Have to go up to Pine Meadow to find anything comparable. So many gems for a Strapped episode in this area.

Welcome! We tried to have an outing at MP last fall but the idea did not get rolling until late summer and by then we couldn’t get a spot for October. Ravines at Cog Hill was our fallback option and it was a hit so we’re going back this fall. No info out on that event just yet. I’ll probably get working on that next month.

What about Schaumburg? 
Likely my favorite in the area nearest my home. After the redo on all three nines the bunkers are PGA Tour quality and it is very walkable less the transition between the nines. They keep the course in top notch shape year round. Fair but challenging for all handicaps. $41 to walk is a steal. So many other great tracks in Chicago Burbs. We need a Strapped Chicago where they dive into options in the city proper, north, west and south suburbs.

I think Tron mentioned on the Nest pod they were going to do something at MP as part of their NIT event for the BMW before Covid blew everything up. Glad we’re having one out there this year!
