man itd be cool if we made a map of all golf courses still open…
im really getting sad
I think it’s time we all stay indoors my man
Sounds like nobody is really sure what the right call is with golf, and also I suspect a lot of people were not abiding by social distancing at Peacock Gap:
walked on yesterday at a “closed” santa rosa course with my house mates. we ended up playing 21 holes. no waiting nothing. was a nice walk…
Spanos Park is open tomorrow:
Blockquote Dear Reserve at Spanos Park Member and Guests,
Yesterdays closure of our golf course has been reversed, at least for now. we are able to open tomorrow with limited clubhouse access and modified conditions. I apologize for the confusion but any golf with this weather is Great Golf!
Consideration for the safety of our guests and staff is our main concern. to this end we have mad modifications to our regular operating procedures.
- Access to the clubhouse will be limited to check in and use of the restroom facilities. no access will be allowed to our restaurant proper.
- All F&B service will be outdoors provided through our kitchen snack bar window.
- Single rider carts will be available by request on a first come first serve basis based on your reservation time. Please be aware…we may run out of carts. Walking is “strongly” recommended.
- As well, early morning back nine play will be limited to walkers. Unfortunately, no carts will be available for back nine play.
- To limit contamination we will be removing all bunker rakes. we recommend, if necessary, players smooth the sand with their foot and place the ball in the bunker.
- The hole sleeve will be raised to keep the ball from dropping in the hole requiring players to touch the flagpole and cup.
- All carts will be sanitized before and after rounds with disinfectant. As well, we will have staff on site whose sole purpose is to disinfect all surfaces that may come into contact with our guests.
- The driving range will be open with wider stalls.
All previous reservations prior to todays closure remain on the books and will be honored going forward. we hope you are able to use them and again, apologize for the confusion.
Canyon Lakes Golf Course in San Ramon is opening up again. Walking only unless you are a member. One of the least walking friendly courses around but better than nothing.
want to go play? anyone? im desperate… T_T
I could this weekend. But I’m up in Sac lol
i heard they were open up there!
There are a few courses still open. I got to play 2 rounds last weekend. Was nice.
Good read for a hidden gem in Jeopardy. Got lucky to be randomly paired with the writer, Josh Sens at my first time around Corica S. He’s a good dude.
Has anybody made the trek all the way up to Sea Ranch Golf Links? Is it sick?
edit: getting desperate here lol
Haven’t played Sea Ranch in years, but it’s definitely an enjoyable track. If my memory serves me right, it’s kind of like a slightly rougher version of Bodega Harbour without as much elevation change. That seem right to anybody else that’s played it the past couple years?
I know this will be sad news especially for @GremlinGolfer as well as @Lazstradamus who I know was hoping to play Gleneagles sooner than later. I haven’t played it in YEARS but had thought about it recently and really hope I get a chance to do so again.
I pray they are able to come back. I play every Tuesday afternoon during the season. Good guys over there.
Tom is a buddy of mine. I wouldn’t worry about Gleneagles.
Update:
- Sea Ranch is reallyyyyy good
- currently open on an honor system basis. $20 cash and the course is yours.
A 4ball of us played today and had the course to ourselves. It is walkable but its quite the way. Highly recommend if anybody is needing a golf fix(shout out mike breed)
Anybody know if there are any courses in the folsom/sac area still open for play?
Dry Creek in Lodi is open, Bartley Cavanaugh and Bing Maloney too. I think Haggin Oaks is open as well.
