Was anyone else out at the Corica North preview play for the full 18? It’s pretty great, I’m thinking the roost event later on will be awesome.
Pacific Grove has the potential to be the most special mainly because of the back nine.
Poppy Hills is going to be by far the best golf.
I wouldn’t play CVR over any of those.
Under the radar (probably because it’s usually so expensive) is Quail Lodge. It’s a fun course usually in immaculate shape and you can get a twilight (but you’ll finish) rate for right around $200 or maybe a little less.
I think we might try to squeeze in PG on Friday afternoon. I really got all the confirmation I needed here that there isn’t any major pull toward CVR over Poppy so we’ll stick with out time. One day I’ll get to CVR, but probably on a weekend where we’ve gor more than one round.
As a former member of CVR, don’t bother. There are 3 holes that are memorable and even then it’s nothing great
Quail lodge is sweet. Front 9 vs back 9 feel like 2 totally different golf courses. Back 9 is sweeeet
Hey all, I’m new to the Livermore area and grabbed a 3:10 twilight tee time over at Wente Vineyard this Saturday in case anyone would like to come out and join!
Hey! You’ll likely have better success in our slack

Hey Norcal refugees, I am flying out for work June 15th and going to grab an afternoon Pasa tee time for my first visit. Anyone interested in joining the walk?
That would be Fathers Day …? Not sure I could join on another day but that’s for sure not going to work. Enjoy - I hear nothing but amazing things post-renovation. Pre-renovation it was among my favorite courses anywhere…
San Fran folks - I’m in town next week, anyone have any good wine bar / restaurant recommendations for me?
where are you staying? and/or what kind of food are you looking for?
Near the financial district but I’ll uber anywhere for good food and drink.
Angler is walking distance, sit at the bar or outside if its nice, get the sundae for dessert. Ungrafted in dogpatch is another option if you want something more wine focused and you can take the T train there
I’m partial to North Beach because I lived there & think its the best neighborhood in the city. So I’d send you to the counter at Sotto Mare ($$) for italian seafood, or Tony’s ($) some Za. Sodinis ($) is good old school classic italian food. Gino & Carlos is a lovely spot for a quick beer when youre walking around the neighborhood.
Angler, as noted above should be a good spot.
Union Larder on Hyde is a winebar people really love, will be busy and if so, can cross the street to Habibi WIne Bar. Then get dinner at Seven Hills ($$) (great wine list).
Last rec is Flores ($) on Union for mexican on this half of the city. Lolo in Valencia for mexican on the Mission side of the city.
Kokkari ($$/$$$) down near the fidi is also incredible.
If you need a sandwich at any time, Molinari’s in North Beach (avoid it on a weekend at lunchtime tho cuz it gets wildly busy)
Second the Tony’s recommendation. High quality pizza right there.
Kokkari is just so good. Even if you can’t get a reservation, you can show up at 5 to get a seat at the bar.
One day you need to go down to the mission and get a super burrito at any one of the famous spots. Can’t go wrong.
Just walked into Seven Hills - will report back. First time in the North Beach neighborhood. Excited to explore a bit.
Hell yeah. Enjoy! Up Hyde one block are 2 wine bars for after if you need more or Swensens ice cream (arguably best cookies & cream in sf).
Gino & Carlos in North Beach is the spot if you want a local pint. Or just walk around for the 2nd half of the dubs game
