Walnut Creek adjacent? Where you at? I’m also a newish dad (5.5 months) who’s right by Diablo Hills GC, the 9 holer. There’s a few of us out along the 680/24 area. Boundary Oak is probably my main course out here, but Diablo Creek is not an awful option. Tilden is apparently in awesome shape right now, as well. As a former Berkeley resident, I’d be down to check it out.

Hello, it’s me again. We’ve got a guy from the PNW Crew that is looking to play with some NorCal folks at Presidio and Corica Park next week. He’s not currently a Nest member, but we’re working on that. Anyone interested, and maybe captaining something directly with my guy (John O.) via text? He arrives on Monday (7/15) and has a tee time at Corica South at 12:20pm already. He’ll have windows of availability early Tuesday (7/16; 7:30 - 9:00 tee time), early Wednesday (7/17; 7:30 - 9:00 tee time), and late Thursday (7/18; 2:30 or later). The earlier the better on the Tuesday/Wednesday tee times.

Whats up all, looking for a quick recommendation!
Will be in the Monterrey area with my parents and GF for a few days in late September, and was looking to add in a round of golf with my Dad. Not staying on property at pebble, so no PB, Spyglass is aerating the day before we go, so I think right now we’re looking at Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills, or Del Monte. I was trying to talk him into a Pacific Grove, he’s not convinced, but will continue fighting the good fight.
Any preferences amongst those or recommendations otherwise??
poppy hills is a slam dunk amongst those ones you’re considering. no brainer

I had a little sticker shock at the price tag ($375, more or less equal to the Spyglass and Spanish Bay pricetag), but glad to hear its worth-while!
Poppy is the best. It’s a killer deal if you are an ncga member (or can convince a ncga member to play with you) but for my money it’s better than spy or Spanish. Would definitely recommend it. Best 36 hole day you can play is Poppy in the morning and pg at sunset

Fair warning, I played there with a buddy from out of town and there is at least one guy in the clubhouse who is a legendary jerk, just perpetually in a bad mood. He told me everyone had to pay in person so they could prove they were an NCGA member. I looked at my watch and asked if he’d rather we teed off late (since we were late and my friend from NYC was already out in a cart on the first tee) or if I could just pay for my buddy. So you might run into some headwinds, but fight through it!
Wish I could join you but it is not to be.
