Do you have dates in mind for an event? I mentioned it to a few friends and everyone was really pumped about the idea.
!!!
If anyone knows how to get on for preview play…feel free to reach out haha
OH BOY OH BOY OH BOY
https://twitter.com/search?q=corica%20park%20north&src=typed_query take a gander down through here
Looks like with North, South, the range and the par-3 course that this is going to be a world class municipal facility. Can’t wait and hopefully with the North opening it will open up times for both courses so they are easier to get onto.
Used to work 12 minutes from Corica. South course (re-)opened up right before I moved away.
Still not over it.
Especially since before the renovation they were exceptionally mediocre courses.
Played north once and never went to Corica again
To be fair, Monarch bay was walking distance away and with their “players club” it was $10 for me to walk it after work. Plus a free beer was included. Tough to compete with that.
playing the south today in a skins game at 12:20 - will take a look!
This makes me more bummed they got rid of their resident card program. My god it looks so good though.
EDIT: The artificial turf bunker faces are interesting.
I just hit a shot fat in my brain, then thin, due to all those uneven lies.
If you can button it there you can button it anywhere!
Next summer we need to set up an Alameda Solstice day:
Monarch
Metro
Corica South
Corica North
MIF
June 20 is a Monday next year, with usable light from 5:15AM - 9:05 PM. Pace of play the biggest barrier but I am feeling optimistic if you can blitz through the first 2 rounds
You including the Monarch Marina course, too?
A valiant idea, but unless you have the logistical organization of a place like Bandon, you’re never going to see the pace of play at these places that you would need to finish in time.
You can tee off around 530am at either Monarch or Metro, so then you might be able to get on the other one by 930. On a weekday, pace of play should be better, so maybe you can get to Corica Park by 2? Then, you’ve got 7 hours to get 36 at Corica Park in. It might be tight, but it’s worth a try! Cutting the short course is probably a must though.
Loving this idea. But yes pace of play will be an issuer.
Maybe make a weekend out of it? Or a month long series…
you’d need to play the first round of the day in about 2.5 to do it. first off at monarch at 5:24 and be done by 8 and teeing off at metro by 8:20 or so. then 12:45 & 5 at corica. hopefully some accommodating folks in the groups in front of you throughout the day
Just found out I’ll be taking a job in Fairfield! Won’t be moving till the winter but not sure if that makes me a part of this thread or Sacramento? Obviously don’t know where I’ll be living yet but pretty psyched for the golf out there!
