Siiiiickkk
I can practically hear the early morning silence interrupted by a crisply struck iron…just beautiful. Golf mornings I live for.
Man I’m salivating at that Pebble-Spyglass 2 for 1. $475 for both would be a steal. Too bad my family would kill me if I tried to play on Christmas Eve/Christmas Day. Might still be worth it though…
If I’m reading the fine print correctly, they toss in a divorce attorney consultation at no additional charge…
Where are the details on this? Intrigued to say the least.
anyone played chardonnay in napa? dad said he wants to head down there sometime in january once the weather clears up a bit & everytime I’ve driven past there on the way to the safeway open it looks pretty nice but green fees are only like $50 so that seems like a huge deal?
If anyone is bored on Wendesday, come play!
Not recently but very enjoyable round back in the spring. It’s one of the few tracks in wine country that isn’t lined by houses (eagle vines) and has a good mix of tough and playable holes. Also mix of parkland trees and open vines (pics).
No idea on the conditioning right now. But it was great when we were there. $50 is a bargain.
Heading up to Apple Mountain on Friday. If anyone is interested, let me know.
Yep, Chardonnay is fun. There’s a Golf Moose special that’s even cheaper, it’s like $41/pp I think.
The first picture Scott shared of the downhill par-3 surrounded by grapevines is BRUTAL if there’s any wind. And there’s almost always wind. It can be a four club wind and it’s fun as hell. Definitely a course worth playing, I enjoy it much more than Eagle Vines next door.
I played Chardonnay for a free birthday round end of November. Course was in good condition, some great views on the front 9 and a few very large greens that can lead to impossible putts if you end up on the wrong tier.
Only issue was a frost delay in the morning - 8:30 tee time, ended up teeing off closer to 9 but the round took over 5 hours on a Monday morning.
I have two spots for Peacock Gap at 10:48 on Jan. 2 (Saturday). $66pp. LMK if you’re interested by 9pm today if possible.
The par-3 8th hole at Chardonnay - we played it two days in a row, the first day the pin was at the bottom, the easiest possible place. The next day, in a Mediocre Golf Association (mgatour.com, join up if you don’t break 80 on the regular) it was right in the middle tucked right behind one of the bunkers. So mean! You could easily be in a spot where you had NO chance to make a putt.
Apologies in advance for a little shameless self promotion, but I’m hosting a local golf performance workshop in February in SF, along with my fellow TPI certified bud. Details here. DM with any questions.
If you’re doing it at Spark Social, you should play the mini golf course there afterwards! Seems like a smart thing to do and a fair price. Not sure I can make it happen but hope you get a good response!
Thanks man - yeah we’ll add some fun stuff in. the mini-golf and food trucks (hopefully by then) are right there. should be great. thanks!
Damn I missed golfing in the city. A foggy, soggy, cold Sunday afternoon tee time at Presidio couldn’t get any better. tee’d off at 1:20 and finished 18 just in time. $45 to walk on a Sunday afternoon (w/o a Resident card) in the city can’t be beat.
$84 for two and a cart- deals for both Chardonnay and Eagle Vines.
I just called to make a Spyglass tee time and the rep informed me this deal is extended thru the end of January. 1/16-17 is wide open.
