Y’all enjoy, I’ll be in Tahoe for a bachelor party that weekend. Will try to make the next one.
If anyone is interested in some hills and some real wide open fairways I was thinking of grabbing the 10:20 this Saturday up at The Buckhorn in Comfort.

Talked to booking at Landa Park. I let them know we’d probably have ~12 people going out. They have two groups already booked that day, a shotgun start at 8:30 AM and another group going out at 10.
He says they can probably get us on very early, before that shotgun start (my preference) or a time closer to lunch.
Adding a slot in the spreadsheet for time preference. I’ll let him know when we get some consensus.
Ed: Nobody has said lunch, so I’ll let him know we ride at dawn.
Hard maybe. Make that hard “probably” in. Need to talk with the wife tomorrow.
@chitwood is AFK this week but will also probably play.
AFK? I’m not hip to the lingo. I’m a maybe. Need to run some traps first.

Just played oaks last weekend. They’re working on some of the greens, so a few are in rough shape. Bunkering is also being worked on. But still always fun to play
How would that work if they had a shotgun start when we were 4-6 holes in?
Beats me, but they offered.
Decently common to not have a shotgun start take up the whole course. send us out on 1, and then shotgun 9 groups (or even 18) on 10-18. As long as they start before we make the turn, all is well (if perhaps quite slow for the back nine).

I played 18 (36 if you count the unsanctioned 3-hour round after the paid round) at Wolfdancer for the first time yesterday. Overall I give it 6/10, mostly for the pure greens and some pretty scenery. The tee boxes, for reasons that make no sense to me, are wrecked at the moment. Certainly was pretty though. Favorite hole was 11, I’m a sucker for a high risk-reward par 4. Would play again if the price was right.

Someone told me that about the tee boxes at WD 3-4 weeks ago. I was complaining about the ones at Shadow Glen and they said WD sounded exactly the same - almost as if they had been treated with the wrong chemical or something - just totally destroyed.

WD falls squarely into the “well it’s definitely a great course and fun to play but its about $25-50 too much for what it is”. very resort-tax

@HardLeftSlice just got told we’re back to working from home for a little while so my girlfriend and I are going up to Michigan to see my family for a couple weeks. I was excited to play Landa Park with everyone but I have to drop out. Thanks for setting this up and hopefully I’ll be around for the next one
