Yeah, I remember the green and the bunkering doing nothing for me too. If you’re gonna rip off / pay homage to Stanley at least get the details right 
Yeah ahahah and like, it’s a whatever hole if you’re playing the blues or up, but it’s just a dumb hole if you’re playing red/black. Bad choice if you ask me. Absolutely gorgeous don’t get me wrong but it ain’t for me. My favourite course in the bow valley/Calgary area is the Forest course at the Glencoe
I haven’t played the Forest in a while but I remember it being a beast. Priddis would be close to the top of my list for courses near Calgary.
I’m a masochist when it come to golf courses. I played the forest last with a guy on team Canada and he shot +2, I shot +4 and I felt I played the round of my life ahahah

That is a game with which I have - at best - a passing familiarity with, and mostly because of TV.
Edit to say - I try and make up for the scores by being nice, mostly.
Those are sick scores on that course. I have only played it once and it kicked my butt.
Yeah it’s brutal, but in the best way. Gotta keep it dialled of the tee, from there it’s not too brutal but if you miss a green it can be no bueno, despite how easy it is to chip/pitch from that type of grass

Lorette is in no way shape or form better than Kidd. It lacks variety. Almost every hole plays so similar to each other. Navigating back and forth. Big miss on the redevelopment imo.
I will agree Kidd gets a bump due to the views, but it is by far and away the better golf course.

Different strokes for different folks ahaahahah. If I had my choice overall, I’d do the front of Kidd and the back of Lorette. Most of us who worked there and played it every day felt the same, but hey, people like what they like

Anyone able to get the Golf Canada CPKC presale to work? I got an email this morning that said the discount code is GCMEMBER but I can’t get that to unlock the presale
I just tried it and it unlocked ok - desktop and from my phone. Didn’t try the Ticketmaster app - where were you trying it?

Grabbed tickets to Sunday with the heritage lounge. Pricing seemed pretty reasonable for the extra perks

I followed the link in the Golf Canada email, and a window popped up to enter the presale code - it just unlocked presale tickets, no discount. Think I had to select the day first, then the pop-up hit?
