New guy question here. So the MN Wild and their lord and savior Kaprizov use “Opa” we use “Ope” do we have any deep cut history on the difference or is there a Sven and Ole joke to provide some clarity?

My brother in law just gave me an old fashioned he made and added coffee liquor. It’s fucking terrible. Do not recommend.

He’s very much a try hard look how trendy I am blah blah blah kind of guy, so my guess is he wanted to show us all how he could elevate our boring old fashioned. I don’t think he had it before and judging by all the half consumed fallen soldiers I saw in the other room when we left, pretty sure nobody will be having it again. My wife eventually agreed with me when i asked her how coffee and citrus together was working for her.

So, there is sooooome reasoning there. I’ve had espresso with orange juice and it’s actually not as bad as you’d think.
But coffee liqueur in an old fashioned is just criminal.
In case anyone is wondering, here’s a nifty recipe:
Double shot of espresso
2oz pulp-free OJ
5oz seltzer water/club soda
