No video? @soly @kvv @MerchCzar
Disturbing lack of Patagonia vest in this….
Likely rocking Allbirds though.
Guis…episode 5 of the trap draw. Go re-listen to it.
No commitment to the DBA names, the refuge, TA3/4, LPCP. Great stuff.
What a great listen - been on since the early #toursauce days and realised I’d found my niche. Quite emotional (sad, I know) listening back to the highlights and thinking where I was listening/watching NLU on the journey.
Great to see good people do well.
A reminder of the St Rappeo origin made me howl. And Neil’s Hangouts appearance!
Wait a minute, is this the actual Killhouse? And it’s up for rent? Why are we not taking collections for this to turn it into an NLU shrine?
$3,600 per month is an expensive shrine.
Just 720 people at $5/month!
I feel like a televangelist.
I will confirm that the 2013 President’s Cup was a disaster with the weather. Getting around the course was a challenge, parking was a circus, never-ending delays. Tough scene
I followed Cat and Spieth during their practice round. Cat hits to to 3 feet on #12 and then Spieth made an ace. Basically the highlight of what little golf I was able to watch.
Did any of you guis see it? @Soly @djpie @Randy
Not tagging TC as stated he was in hospitality
I was also at the 2013 Presidents Cup for Saturday and Sunday. We had access to hospitality and got to see Cat hit this shot from a box left of the green. It’s probably the best shot I’ve ever seen in person.
Sun Ray Cinema used to be a venue/theater called Club 5. I saw 311 play there in 2000. Still my favorite concert I’ve ever seen.
Cool to hear it mentioned.
I had never understood the “St Rappeo” reference. I somehow missed it when it happened. I’ve been too shy to ask what the hell it meant. Now I know after listening to the 10-year review pod. Goddamn is that funny.
In addition to making the iconic ball marker, @HennieB also sold a bunch of us great Hogan clubs. It was a real trip when I discovered he was the same guy.

I bought a set off the guy and this comment is how I found that out ha. What a great guy.
You need to go back and watch the episode again to see Neil’s complete confusion coupled with a determination to be respectful. All-time.
I had no idea Cody joined in 2021.
When did the boys get an agent? It would seem like that was an inflection point somewhere around 2016?
I remember following the account in 2014. No idea how I found it but probably retweets from Bacon or something similar.
this podcast was such a freaking joy. i think i joined late 2020 after i geeked out on tourist sauce Oregon after and around my first (fog obscured) trip to Bandon. So had missed a lot of the evolution and was really cool to hear it firsthand
I started listening to the podcast in 2017 or 2018 but never really watched any video content until TS: Scotland. I would fire up an episode when I was up giving our newborn her middle of the night/morning bottle, so it was funny to realize the guis were also extremely tired most of the time in that season.
I found NLU sometime around the end of Tourist Sauce Australia to the beginning of Strapped Iowa. I remember binging TS on my iPad out of nowhere. The videos really connected with me because I felt like I was watching “friends.” Not in the creepy internet stalker way, but in that they acted like my friends and I acted with each other. I felt like what I was watching could have just as easily been me and my golf buddies.
I also really liked that they all seemed like normal guys who were just having fun with their friends doing something they loved. The vast majority of YouTube is fake and the creators are acting in certain ways to drive engagement and revenue. I didn’t get that vibe from NLU and I really liked it.
Admittedly I feel like a lot of this has changed. Partially me changing and partially them evolving. But that’s fine, totally normal, and expected when you’re talking about such a long period of time. They still do good work, but I’m not as into the newer things they have been putting out. Occasionally a video gives those old feelings and Strapped still hits that chord for me. It’s interesting and a little nostalgic to go back and rewatch TS Scotland (my favorite) and Strapped Baltimore or Northeast. The feelings from back in those days come flooding back. As much as I wish there was more of those videos again, I know times change. So now while I’m enjoying looking back on where they came from, I’m excited to see what is next.
Strapped is definitely still my favorite.
I explain it sometimes as watching these videos (tourist sauce and strapped) is the closest you can get to the feeling of playing golf yourself
