What are the groups thoughts on Moccasin Run Golf Club out in Atglen? Pretty bland course but overall think it’s a good deal if you don’t mind the drive.

Not sure if you’ll be around on a weekend or have time to go on a Tuesday, but the Cowtown Farmer’s market is just up the road from Salem. Unfortunately, the weekly Saturday Night rodeo there only goes May - September. Classic NJ “Dirt Mall”. https://www.cowtownfarmersmarket.com/

And if you’re bringing your clubs, Town & Country in Woodstown, NJ just up the road is a favorite quirky course the EP does events at each year.

Thanks! Def will have my clubs. Hopefully the weather is nice enough to get a round in.

Currently training for the Philly Marathon and it will be my first time (for a full marathon and in Philly). Any must try/must do things? We do our coffee subscription through La Colombe so would like to check out the Fishtown cafe and area. Pizzeria Beddia looks up my alley. Doubt I could get into zahav I’m guessing. Any and all suggestions would be awesome! Thanks

Zahav has an outside cafe part now that is walk up only. Not the full menu, but still really good and that may be a way for you to check it out.

Suraya is also insanely good, just gotta make a reservation.

Pizzeria Beddia is amazing so if you can grab a reservation there do it.

I also love the burgers at sassafrass in olde city (2nd at).

And get a roast pork sandwich with broccoli rabe and sharp Provolone - dnicks at reading terminal has great ones and the market is really fun to walk around and grab all kinds of food.

If you can, check out laserwolf, it’s in fishtown pretty close to beddia. Same owner as Zahav, and the food is delicious. Might be tough to get a resy but you can set up alerts in case anyone cancels, usually a few spots open up the day of. And echoing what Casey said, Suraya is amazing and likely easier to get a reservation.

I’m drooling. Thank you!

Or you can just go to Goldie Falafel, which is ALSO the same owners, and have a pretty fucking great meal with no reservations.

If you go to Goldie, get the Turkish coffee shake. It’s incredible. You could also go to Federal Donuts (same owner and a few locations) and get a chicken sandwich.

Anyone (who isn’t going to Sweetens) want to play on Saturday?

Moccasin is a great deal if you walk and is almost always in great shape. Pace of play can be tough at times but overall it’s a really solid track. I think that stretch of 16-18 where you can decide to cut the corner and maybe reach the green with the driver or layup with an iron off the tee is a lot fun and can be quite the rollercoaster of emotions. 18 is a great finishing hole despite hitting iron off the tee and if you tip it out the fairways tend to feel a lot more narrow with the trees and if the winds blowing it can be there because the tree lined fairway just turn into wind tunnels.

I’ll plant a seed and see what grows. Would love to get out

Echo this. Just ate at Laser Wolf for the first time last night and it was surreal (Zahav is my #1 but haven’t been in years). If your party size is small (1-2), I would suggest trying the bar seating, they seemed to be first come first serve and were pretty open last night while I was there.

Boss will be out of town on Friday and I’m thinking of playing hooky for the afternoon once my 11am meeting is done - so 12:30 /1pm tee time. Possibly somewhere further out than usual; Galen Hall, Iron Valley, maybe somewhere in Delaware or Maryland? Anyone else up for joining?

I sure do love Iron Valley in Autumn - wish I could join you

Weather looks gorgeous for tomorrow you end up booking anywhere?

Hey all, visiting from the Bay Area next week. I’m playing in Ardmore on Thursday, but looking for a place to play on Wednesday. Was going to play Jeffersonville, but looks like they’re aerating on Tuesday. Any recommendations on where to go? Was recommended Glen Mills - is that worth the drive from the University City area?

I think Glen Mills is really good and in my opinion underrated. Would be worth the drive if you can’t get on anywhere else.

I nabbed a solo spot with 3 randoms at Galen Hall. Super excited, haven’t been back there since pre-covid. Bringing my persimmon and blades, we’ll see if the randoms give me any crap for it

@ayc25 Glen Mills is a solid choice except for 1 or 2 holes. However, they’re simply charging too much these days. Paxon Hollow is always fun, Turtle Creek if you want a lazy farmland course, and Makefield Highlands is always good too.

That’ll play, good luck sir!
