Seeing that my formerly beloved Pennsauken is now charging 95 dollars to golf makes me irrationally angry

Up there with the grifting Jaws does with his courses. Valleycrook.
Valleycrook
I’m here as we speak hitting balls on the range cause it’s close to me and there are 4 carts on the first tee. I want to complain and I’m not even playing the POS.
oof

They’re trying their best
Anyone want to play Turtle Creek this Sunday? I grabbed 4 spots at 11:48.
Bump. Still 2 spots open, it’s a great course!
Gonna be in philly for a family wedding this weekend. No time for golf, but do have time for philly cheesesteaks. Give me the best 2-3 places to hit up.
Thanks!
Get a roast pork sandwich instead. Way better.
John’s
DiNic’s
High Street Philly
Any of these places will hit the spot.
I won’t argue with a roast pork, they’re delicious, but if you need a good cheesesteak honestly you can’t go wrong with the hundreds of food trucks, corner stands, whatever you can find around the city. None of them are bad and some are amazing. Personal fav - Dalessandro’s, but they might be too far outside the city depending on where you’re staying.
Whatever you do, just don’t go to the tourist traps (Pat’s, Gino’s, Jim’s, etc.) They suck.
Jim’s is still closed until the end of summer from last year’s fire. I have a soft spot for them since that was the first place I went to when my family first moved to Philly, but yes, it’s still too touristy. Not anywhere near as bad as those hell pits Pat’s and Geno’s, though.
Jim’s is certainly the best of those three! For some reason I though they had reopened already. Oh well
Come over to South Jersey and get a better cheesesteak at Donkeys
<ducks>
My personal favorite is Joe’s in Fishtown… but you can’t go wrong with any of the places mentioned here.
Angelo’s in south Philly has been my favorite as of late. But yea, definitely stay away from Pat’s and Geno’s.
Angelos is incredible
Angelo’s is the move
Big second for Dalessandros! Depending on your itineraries should you happen to pass through Northern Delaware, the chicken cheesesteak at Claymont Steak Shop is bangin’ as well.
