Cosign the greens being turned up! #9 was wild at the Coyne event. #8 was no picnic either (my groups starting hole!). Make sure you get at least hole high or past or risk having the ball coming down 70yards of false frontage probably the most severe on property

RG is a treat though, second shot course that you need to be ball striking your iron approaches or it exposes you quickly. In that respect it kind of reminds you of what is seen at Flynn’s masterpiece Shinnecock (albeit in a different setting with less prevailing wind).

Oh yah I’ve blocked 8 from my memory. Had two balls on the green that Rolled allll the way back down 70-80 yards. All we could do was laugh.

Do we like the RG updates? I am not a big fan of all the trees they pulled out, not everything can be the Wissahickon course.

I personally like them; sight lines great extended & the turf conditions the other week were the best I’ve ever played there going back 8 years or so.

There are still enough out there that can impede the occasional wayward shot & to me the primary defense is the approach to the green & surrounds along with glass greens with a lot of pitch / slopes which I think are more than enough defense for day to day play.

Fantastic golf course, I haven’t been fortunate enough to get out there since the renovation but I have a few tips. The course is long but the rough makes it so much longer so being conservative off of the tee and picking the right side of fairway is paramount. The caddie will be an excellent resource on the greens which are tricky but fair. It might have the best collection of par 3s in the area (play it short on #10) so you are in for a real treat!

I’m cross-posting this here as well as the SE PA/NJ thread:

Hey guis, anyone interested in filling out a foursome of Nesticles? @yungloudancolin, @7evanUP, and I are planning to be at Jeffersonville the morning of 7/11. Would love to add a fellow Refuge member to make it a mini-meet up.

Tee times are not yet opened for booking, so we’ll see exactly what we get in a few days’ time.

Anyone close to Wilmington that can get down to a salvage yard in New Castle, DE and help me out?

I bought a car that is there with a big cargo box on it and need someone to unlock the box and ship some stuff. You can keep the box if you can get it home…worth about $200. Picture below…will overnight a key. Needs to happen within a week.

Can chip in a little on top if needed as well.

I have a tee time at Brookeville Country Club up in Locust Valley area in NY that I bought through a charity auction. Looks like a cool, funky, quirky, old school Raynor from the aerials.

Looking to fill out the 4some. Playing 7/24 at noon.

Anyone interested?

Anyone wanna play tomorrow. In bucks county. Can play anytime. TIA. Mid 20s dude just looking to meet new golfers. Thanks

I grabbed the last 7 AM spot at Mountain View earlier today so tomorrow’s a no go but if you’re down for early mornings I usually try to snag times around then at the Mercers or Mountain View. Late afternoons are usually pretty open as well if you ever want to check any of them out.

Was gonna play Mercer tomorrow 4:50. $15 hot deal

Welcome to the refuge! Lots of Philly/south Jersey golfers here. Unfortunately have to be at work all day today so can’t join you this time :frowning:

Two spots available at Jeffersonville this Sunday at 9:50am - let me know if you want to join me and @the.marc.christopher :metal:

Still available?

Sadly no - had to drop them so I wouldn’t get charged and it appears that someone scooped them up.

Anyone wanna play makefield highlands at 1210 tomorrow for 65?

hello hello - wanted to revive this to see if there’s any interest in a fall meetup? I know @ChickPhilA just saw me so maybe it’s too soon, but I think everyone had a blast at the mini-event at Makefield in March, and the Steeplechase at Jeffersonville was so much fun. The google sheet still exists, but since that is a bit outdated, do we want to plan another outing(s) for October/autumn, if possible?

Yes please!

I have to check the Burlington calendar and sweet talk the pro to see if we could each take like 7 guests out on a weekend and maybe get like 4 foursomes out.
