Just played this and it was fantastic, some of the tee shots are awkward which I kind of enjoyed, but overall great layout (shot -5 from the whites on pin 1) can’t wait to see how this develops.

Been hearing talks from some top players who are opting to not put any points in greenreader… putting is the weakest part of my game and part of me think its because the lines are just terrible. Considering toying around with no points in it but curious how everyone has their greenskeeper tree slotted
Does the greensmaster upgrade matter much? I’m not sure shrinking the boxes on the green grid is going to help me much so haven’t bothered working on that player type yet
I would say as far as priority shots to get would be the Technician Pick shot followed by Greenreader from the Greenskeeper, then Power Drive from the Powerhouse. At least, that’s been the consensus since the game released… I think the main thing is a lot of people seem to have complaints about the reliability of the green grids, so I thought it was interesting that a lot of top players are putting less and less points into it… I find for me they often cause me to over read the putts.

I forget the exact percentages, but I do know the default green grids in 25 are slightly larger than they were in 23. Testing has shown that putting two points into greenreader gets the grid back to about the same size as it was in 23. If you put all 4 points in, they become slightly smaller. If you’re putting well with the stock grids, I’d save those points and use them elsewhere.
Echoing @PurpATL, the technician pick shot is the best in the game and can be a get out of jail free card for short sided bunkers. Power drive, you get a smaller miss window but that extra distance can be huge for being able to reach par 5s in two or have shorter irons in.

I did start with technician because I figured Pick would be the best of the available abilities. Use it almost every time but I have made more bunker shots using splash just since the rollout is more predictable
Watching through this video, and it’s amazing how consistent these guys are with their swing. I’m ok on Pro. I rarely hit perfects and some how make a Pull / Open work, but the second I bump up to Master I get torched.
Every time I try to hit a DoD, it ends up as a pull slice that manages to come back to where I was aiming, but doesn’t got much farter than the 3W would have. I really should just re-spec and get rid of it lol

SEASON 25 - WEEK 1 UPDATE - Red Fast Memorial
We officially kick things off by saying farewell to the red fast miss, which is no more. With the evo swing there are a ton more possibilities, but at least that’s not one of them. We expect a lot of volatility this season as golfers level up, but here’s where we stand after week 1.
Individual flight winners:
- Young Hitters: @mrikk12 takes it and also was low round of the event firing a -18 in R2. Nice start!
- C-Suite: @Tibbs found something and started with two double digit under par rounds, and could not be caught.
- Strapped: @PullFade is one of two players here to finish double digits under par for the event, look for big things ahead
- LPCP: @Albinobluesheep has been putting in work apparently, shooting a score that would have contended in Strapped

Shhedule for the week
We’re off to a mysterious land this week for Voldemort. Most players don’t dare utter the name of this place or the tournament for fear of it being censored from the game. For now though, we can enjoy a version of the course in the game and play alongside the PGA Tour for the first men’s major of the year.
I pulled the wind/weather forecasts from a few days ago and tried to duplicate that as best I could in the game, so if that holds then it should be fairly similar conditions to real life. Good luck, and we’ll see who will win the…I’ve been told I am not allowed to copy the real life prize for fear of a lawsuit. A digital pat on the back will be it then.

Quadruple bogeyd 15… I laid up, and honestly didn’t feel like there was any shot I could hit. the 50-70 yard range in this game really perplexes me.
