FIRST!
I see I played 2k23 for 500 hours in two years. If I just divide the 130 bucks by the 500 hours I’ll play this one the coming years, it comes down to 26 cents an hour, which is a great deal.
I’m buying the Legend as we speak.
This has largely been received as one of the best sports game releases in a long time - not just from the golf community. I don’t for see a sale anytime soon.
Historically with 21 and 23 I think it was about 3 months after launch they went on sale. I can’t remember much about 21, but 23’s launch was bad. This one has been much better, so it’s a true who can say if it goes on sale that quickly. I’d say there is still a possibility of that happening, to coincide with the start of Season 2 of clubhouse pass.
@PurpATL @Jeff_M Thanks. I thought I saw somewhere that the price dropped on 2K23 after like a month, but I could have been mistaken. I’m asking because I’m heading to San Diego for work for a week, and then off to Europe for 3 weeks, so I will not have time to play until late March. Didn’t want to buy it on like March 20th, and have it go on sale on March 21st or something.
I’d be very surprised if it discounted after only a month, I feel like something historically bad would have to happen to the game
@kmart796 I can confirm that Pebble is stuck on Pin location 1 for all 4 rounds of My Career. I submitted a bug report, this is the first course I’ve seen that issue
When porting over courses from 2K23 to 2K25, are we allowed to make any changes? I wanted to change the par of one of the holes at the West Texas Dust Bowl.
@Albinobluesheep or @mctrees02 may know the answer for sure, but I would assume yes, changes can be made before publishing in 25.
Anyone know of a good putting tutorial video? Swinging just fine on master, but I can’t make putts… feel like I over read the breaks, and I am wondering if its better to just play straighter lines, and hit them harder.
I can’t help with a tutorial necessarily, but in general with downhill putts I try to die it in the hole, uphill putts play a bit more power and take the break out. Downhill if you hit the suggested power that the meter gives you, if you miss, it’s rolling 10+ feet by on green speeds more than slow.
Just played a TGCT test event with their proposed settings… I understand I am not good at the game, but not having a meter or a vibration at all seems SO hard. It invalidates things like texas wedge and partials
it’s a learning curve for sure. You have to bring up the meter while in scout cam, then have a feel for the percentage you need to hit
When you click to import, it opens it in the designer as an unpublished course.
I would strongly encourage you to go back over any ported courses in the designer before publishing.
Straight ports from one game to the next almost always end up with a significant flaw or three. Whether it’s planting changes, pins become unplayable or course contours which cause issues for players they didn’t cause before, if it’s a course you care about then I would take the time to give it a fresh coat of paint. If nothing else, we have some amazing new tools in the designer which can enhance the visual quality of the course.
Sorry just realized that was @dflock24 who reported that issue in the other thread
Sounds like I’ll be getting 2k25
hopefully the no-vibration terrorists don’t win and they re-enable it for the actual seasons.
Edit: The event I’m playing in now allows vibration. Still have yet to sort out how to get vibration to work while in wirelessmode
