You mean you donāt want to grind hours of career sponsors just to unlock a Ping putter?
It really is laughable with how good the actual game play is, how poor the āfunā stuff like cosmetics are. I really wonder if itās licensing or something similar holding it up. If 2K wants to cash in on micro transactions, add a bunch of content to the cosmetics store and guess what, suckers like me will play the game more to earn and use VC to create their dream golf bags!
Good start with the sponsors leaving after one bad tournament. Need to also make it so they donāt leave if you skip a tournament too. I donāt want to play 15 mule fests a year at courses that arenāt real
Yep, itās a start. I mean yes, you can do interactive sim to fly through a tourney, but thatās not the point. I think it should be more of an up front requirement when you sign on with someone, give me a minimum number of events, require sigs and majors maybe. And this may be getting too into the weeds for most, but as a golf nerd, let me change the terms of my deal after I win a big event. Maybe I donāt have to attend Chezfest (no offense to Big Bill Reavie) the next week
This is fair. I mostly just get tired of playing made up tournaments that all fall under the same generic trophy when youāre looking through mycareer records
They did fuck up on the trophies. I feel like in the last game they were unique, and in this game, every tournament thatās not a major has the exact same trophy.
Did they tweak the putting rhythm to be more drastic? Feels like Iām blowing almost every putt way past the hole now and Iāve only been upgrading my rhythm attribute
nothing Iāve seen to indicate any tweaks to the swing, full or putting. But they never put all of the changes in the patch notes so it might be a who could say. If youāre playing on faster green speeds, like 150 or more, the distance the caddie gives you on flat or downhill putts will usually cause the ball to go an extra 5-10 feet if it misses.
They did at least find a real putter to record audio from, rather than the plastic kids toy they used before.
