Welp, I caved and got an Xbox Series S over the weekend and downloaded 2K25 yesterday. Guess I’m back!

Servers are still melted it seems. Trying to set up society stuff and I’ve been entertained with the spinning circle for a good 10 mins now
Ok finally got in to set up events, rounds are dialed in for The Gold Boy Standard which will run concurrent to the real event. For reasons only known behind the moat, the game still won’t allow time of day or weather changes on official courses, so I guess we’re getting horrible noon lighting all 4 days. But it should mostly resemble the real forecast. The course in game is oriented sideways compare to real life, so these wind directions match the real forecast for Thurs AM, Fri PM, Sat PM, and Sun PM.

Bummer, yeah looks like it is only Series S/X. To be fair they have stepped up the graphics and physics in a big way, but still sucks to leave players behind or force an upgrade
I understand the sentiment, but it’s been 12 years since the 1 release lol and 4.5 years of the “next gen” consoles. It’s been longer than it should to move gamers to the next generation.

Hate that but 2K23 is a still a good game!
Honestly give 2K25 a few months and it’ll go on a steep discount, maybe eventually snag a used console on the cheap. 2 year release cycle is nice for this game

Damn, anyone know if a society had it added to their schedule? In 23 at least, you could still favorite the censored courses, they were still in the game but just couldn’t search for them

Ended up losing in tie breaker to the closest to the pin aspect, but these guys were rated around 1400, and we were at 500.
Kind of crazy there are people that play THAT much ranked.
I can’t be bothered with ranked , at least not right now. Maybe if they come out with some cosmetic reward that I really want. Hopefully they add some form of extra VC payout at some point to it.
It’s weird, I’m fine with casual matches and love a good match play game, but ranked just seems like too much of a grind
