PGA 2K23 Refuge Tour - Info Post #9562 - S24 Begins 11/25

lol do share

Scores looking lower, are there risky shortcuts or is it just tough?

Honestly yeah let’s save anyone that sees this the frustration. Believe its 14, the split fairway with water in the middle where you drive it through the arch. Final round, I was playing pretty much perfect, I had comfortably cut it around the rocks on the right once to the right side and figured I’d just do it again, but I went a little bit too low with it and got rejected by the little sign right there just off the tee and had to take an unplayable from like 40 yards behind the tee box on the left.

Sick thanks for sharing.

I can’t be bothered to go back and get a screen grab and I was far too rattled in the moment to save a replay, if someone else spots it please share. Such a freak little thing and such a small obstacle to get rekt by

Sheesh, I’m gonna take a look now but that sounds not great. I can say I did not see that in play testing but maybe I didn’t get bold enough with my line.

Alright I did go back. I’m not really saying it’s like an actual design flaw, you do have to be taking a very aggressive line for it to even be in play. But I hit a low cut from this setup and got GOT (the signpost left of my line, if not clear)

Yeah I see it, hole 12. That’s tough, feels like that should almost be a trick shot

I was actually able to reproduce the shot on the second try. But oh well! Take mega lines with extreme caution folks!

I don’t think there are any crazy shortcuts in the same way that evenprime’s courses offer mega lines, but as @kmart796 showed if you try to shave corners it could be a risk reward.

Anyone manage to reach the green in 2 on 17?

For me, I just made every putt I had in round 2. Had at least 1 double on the card in rounds 1 and 3.

Did it once in the third round. Barely snuck on the front

Position A on hole 2

SEASON 22 - WEEK 7 UPDATE - We Spared Some Expense

We hope everyone enjoyed their tour through Jurassic Park! Rest assured there were no permanent injuries and we hope you will come back to visit.

Individual flight winners:

  • Young Hitters: @Juice had it rolling in round 2 and did not give the others a chance this week
  • C-Suite: @Golfpro731 posts a score that would have been a podium place in YH. I thought I had a chance chasing -24 but not to be.
  • Strapped: @jeffvalois keeps the streak alive of Jeff winners
  • LPCP: @Jrembold is one of two LPCP players under par, keeping it between the mustard and mayo all the way home

No new players for this week

Shhedule for the week

We go now to Scotland for a delightful course I found called Askernish Golf Club. Note that you will find several grazing animals nearby as you play, they are friendly so no worries. Consider this a light warmup for the next couple of weeks.

If someone could check on the cow I hit off the tee on 6, I’d appreciate it.

Like the great Rodney Dangerfield said in Caddyshack, “I shoulda yelled moo!”

Or was it two? Either way, I’m sorry about it.

Someone is gonna get hurt and it’s not gonna be the cow

Was feeling pretty down and out after bogey on 11 in the second round sitting at -22 with Blake in at -33. From there I don’t really have much memory of anything. I allegedly played the final 25 holes in -29 with an ace.
