Hell yeah, this is the good stuff
Is it possible to play bad enough to be kicked off the tour? I might be the first to find out.
No just chip on a green, straight to jail
Wow, I finished R1 under par and thought, "well I canāt imagine there are gonna be too many LPCP guys breaking par, good start.
I finished R2 under par and thought, "well I canāt imagine there are gonna be too many LPCP guys breaking par, hell yeah!
R3 was like playing a completely different course. I donāt think +14 overall is gonna cut it.
Dawg I shot +18 on the first round. Youāre good.
If you just do the reverse of what I did youāre good!
I lit myself on fire a few too many times this week. Have a feeling Blake will come in over the top on us but was fun trying to track down @WhineyCracker52 after a blowup on 7 in the second round.
All Iāll say is that the top of the mountain on the aggressive line on 7 being OB is bullshit. Was thrilled to drive it through the gap on 18 all three rounds though!
I had 2 different tin cup moments and got absolutely wrecked with my 2nd round. 3rd round is gonna need to be like 10 under to be competitive
I was not competitive in the 3rd round. Still favoriting this course and going to play the shit out of it later
Silly Szn Fin. - WEEK 9 UPDATE
The penultimate event had come to a conclusion, as well as the end to Silly Szn. It seems that the wacky fantasy courses were a hit, so look for more of that sprinkled in. The idea behind the setups was to let the course design shine and not make wind or conditions a huge element to factor in.
Individual flight winners:
- Young Hitters: @WhineyCracker52ās round 2 turns out to be the difference maker here as he is able to hold on to a 3 shot win
- C-Suite: @valleyslice again, quite a run lately in C-Suite.
- Strapped: @jeffvalois is also on a run with a very convincing win in Strapped.
- LPCP: @mlakota is yet another player on a run, it seems that folks are finding a groove in the late season here. He is the only player to finish under par in LPCP.
No new qualifiers, we are nearly to the end of the season so I donāt expect an influx of new or returning players until next season.
Weāre on to the final event of the season, The Dumpster Fire. For those who are newer players, this event was born from a true cluster of an event several seasons ago and weāve tried to capture the spirit of that each season since. Obviously the goal is not to go so far that things are unfair, but typically we choose a venue that has the potential for ejection and conditions often become a factor. Get ready for a true test for the last regular season event.
In other news, @ChickPhilA and the small shop have graciously agreed to fund another round of prizes for this seasonās final, which will pay out shop credit to the podium places. I sincerely thank her and the NLU team for their support and generosity.
Thanks as always for playing here on the Refuge Tour

Big week for the āpar is irrelevantā mindset!
Question for the tournament committee. Given the course setup for this week, is Rule 4.1 still being enforced?
- A player is not allowed to replace a damaged controller, except when it is damaged during the round by an outside influence or natural forces, or by someone other than the player or his or her caddie.
I had driver-DoD into a few par 4s, driver-wood into many. I had a couple good shots ejected into water. Degreened once or twice. Itās all relative, and not as a brag but more as a warning, you can see what I usually shoot. I feel like I played totally fine and scratched and clawed my way to -14 over four rounds. This is probably the hardest video game golf setup I have ever played
Got back home yesterday and played the TGC Plat event and this one back-to-back, and had to double check and make sure I didnāt have those in reverse order. Another sick Dumpster Fire from the tournament committee ![]()
Havenāt played beyond the 1st round yet but came in at a pretty respectable number of +3. Was really embracing the wind and seemed to judge the elevation drops well for once in my life
Watch this space for my shooting +10 the next 3 rounds. And embracing my LPCP life
Blake absolutely dominated me ![]()
I could never have made that many birdies on this setup, didnāt hit anywhere near enough greens and many of the ones I did hit I was putting from 50+ feet with the crazy slopes
For next season Iāll have to see if The Predator got ported over to 2K23. I think that was TW 03-04
