Trying to play tonight and it appears their servers might be overloaded, everything is just hanging horribly.

I swear that nobody that works at HB Studios has ever played golf before

Anyone else experience a possible bug where the game resets to default clubs? I just started the next round of a tournament after going through and upgrading some stuff, has me back in the default driver and putter, irons are what I chose though.

Ok this is actually really irritating me now, it just reset everything except my irons to the default HB stuff, after I went through the entire bag and changed it.

Where is this? I can’t find it for the life of me

Though After playing the KFT qualifier 4 times I seem to have ā€œfoundā€ the rythem anyway, and am finally hitting it straight

Edit: never mind, found it in training

yeah the menus are a bit convoluted for some things, I’m sure I’ll get used to it after a few more days but it’s just menus within menus compared to 2K21

I wager well wait to set up societies until that update probably? (Unless it’s going to be like 3 months)

I have noticed them resetting but I have noticed that when you try to assign the same shaft or grip to your entire set it doesn’t work. I still have to change each club individually for it to stick.

I’m still learning my way through the new system but from what I’ve seen so far the club fittings and player skills and archetype are what actually affect the gameplay. All of the new ā€œclubsā€ are just cosmetic updates. Can anyone confirm if that’s true?

I can’t confirm it, but when I went looking at new clubs, I could not find any attributes whatsoever, so there was no indication that anything I could potentially buy was an upgrade. So that sounds right. Which makes separating them by colors really kind of dumb.

I believe that is true, the different heads are purely cosmetic.

I started doing this and it seems to have worked, bit annoying but hopefully it gets patched out. I’m still checking my bag before every round to make sure the clubs are right

I almost bought the game last night, but then I read all this and was in the firm ā€œnot yetā€ boat.

I’ve not encountered anything game breaking yet, but some of the bugs are head scratchers for how they made it out of beta

I am actually really enjoying the game. Is it a whole new experience? No way, are there some new tweaks that make it fun again? For me yes! Are there some issues and bugs to be worked out? Absolutely! But overall I am enjoying it a lot and don’t really see myself going back to 2k21. My favorite part so far is the short game is much more about feel shots and I think they did a good job of having that come through, but it takes a lot of practice to get used to.

I was sure ya’ll had missed something, but different club head/shafts/Grips are 100% appearance, and all the stat changes are in the ā€œfittingsā€, which you can’t buy, but have to earn in the tour.

Not sure how I feel about that.
Are the fittings you earn the ability’s to ability to clubs randomly earned? or do they specifically unlock at pre-defined levels?

Distance control off? Jesus this is hard.

But I guess it’s not a putting contest.

Distance control meter Off, or Distance control assist off, or both?

I’ve been playing with the swing meter off even in societies that allow it, and I’ve developed enough feel that I think it has really helped with the new short game. It’s still way harder, but I’m chilling everything to tap in range instead of two putt range. I feel like the east chip ins are coming.

I was thinking meter optional, and distance control assist off.

I feel like we need the meter. Control assist could be off, but my vote is for the meter on. I can’t putt for shit without a meter, putts either get halfway there or launch of the green. No in-between.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, not mandatory but leave the option open if players want it
