I think we consider having distance control turned back on.
Why not just leave it a free for all? In theory, since itâs flighted it shouldnât matter the settings one bit. Players with it easier will get flighted into the better flights.
Iâm kicking around buying a PS5âŚworth it?
I like this
I will say that I agree with this as well.
Maybe, I think it remains to be seen if Xbox is still being screwed over with the controller? Iâm on PC and have always used playstation controllers with these games
Itâs obviously early days and I still need to discuss options with the admin team, but right now Iâm leaning towards Pro difficulty, distance control off, swing timing on, all the pro vision stuff off, and all the rest open. If we leave the option for the power meter open I think everyone will be fine with no distance control assist.
So far it seems like roll out affects both the roll out on the green and in the fairway. A decent trade off so far after a couple rounds
on the 2K Launch stream they mentioned they will be releasing an update in the future with crossplay enabledâŚthat could make things much easier for the societies.
About effing time. I hope this is soon-ish (but if they didnât give any clues on a date it might be 2024), would be so nice to schedule an event once and not have to worry about duplicating it across 3 platforms.
But I also suspect that this might just be for pvp, if I had to guess there wonât be any crossplay societies.

New MyPlayer Customizations and Characters
Cool, so my player maybe doesnât have to look like heâs trying to be built like Thicc Boy.
Gotta say I hated it at first, but changing from quality mode to performance mode made a huge difference. I forgot how bad it was on the old game until they added a 60 FPS option. Huge difference when I changed that setting.
I know gameplay is the main focus, but definitely lacking in the player customization department. I remember even one of the old TW games from 10+ years ago had customizable swings/stances, and face/photo scanning technology has been a thing for a long time. I still remember an old TW game character I made who swung like Jim Furyk took some very good drugs and then had golf lessons with 5 different coaches to make swing changes.
Well to be fair theyâve only been on Unity engine for what, 8 years? Canât expect them to have optimized it by now to get rid of frame drops.
(I am grateful, however, that by sticking with the same game engine they have allowed custom courses to be ported over with each new game)
I always think the equipment selection in these games to be laughable. There doesnât seem to be any particular pattern into what equipment is available in the game from what manufacturers. They have some new stuff, barely anything from last year, but the bulk of it still seems to be 2K21 equipment?
And donât get me started on the models of the HB clubs. They donât even look like a real golf club
Guarantee you itâs to make players want to buy clubhouse pass or whatever itâs called or buy in game currency rather than taking time to unlock or earn stuff to move away from the default clubs.
Nah, itâs been the same since The Golf Club 1, theyâve just never updated the models
