A quick reminder at the top here for all players to communicate with your team principals if you are unable to play an event. This will help reduce DNFs and make sure all teams can get their whole lineup to log scores. Any player who DNFs will be given the highest score in their flight for the purposes of the team total.
Remember, it is in your best interest to post scores for events if you can even if you’re not on a team, we have an individual title to go for as well.
In the Constructor’s championship this week, Red Bull again powers through to a win although this was very narrow, the top three only separated by 3 points.
Alfa Romeo and Haas round out the podium, and shoutout to Williams with 69 total points in the standings.
Individual flight winners:
Young Hitters:@BlakeG wins again, I’m noticing a pattern. If this holds, he will not win next week, but will win again the week after. Big of him to give others a chance on the even weeks.
C-Suite:@etrackp has found something that works, second W in a row
Misc Hitters:@tdaly’s turn to go nuts in the Misc Hitters flight, winning by a mile and the only player under par.
No qualifiers posted in the sheet, @Showtime did you say you had tried to post but couldn’t? Let me know and we can flight you if you did qualify.
Onwards to the Live and Work in the Emirates Open at the glorious Emirates Golf Club in Dubai. Come see all that wonderful Dubai has to offer for your next luxury vacation, I hear the weather is lovely this time of year by the Persian Gulf.
Standings going into the last three events of the season:
And your leaders in the individual standings (there are a lot more players that are in contention but for the purposes of this post I’ll give the top three from each flight):
I was -31 through 45 holes last week. Needed a -5 back 9 for my first win in quite a while…
Proceeded to play the next 4 at +1 to immediately take myself out of it and finish 2 back of @BlakeG. Will be speaking to my therapist about this later today.
Since we’re talking the new game, I’m curious about pros/cons of playing on a computer (Mac) vs Xbox. Anyone tried/use both and have thoughts? I don’t have a gaming Mac, just a standard MacBook Pro with the M1 chip.
I can’t speak specifically to Xbox, but something with the Xbox controller (I think?) makes the game more difficult. I do know the vast majority of players in the upper tiers of TGCTours are PS4/5, very few Xbox.
I play on PC (Windows), the main thing I like about that is the advanced settings you can make changes to with graphics. Having a smooth framerate is huge for getting good swing timing, so it’s nice to be able to fine tune that.
If history was to repeat itself they will put in some kind of change to the game mechanics with the new version that makes up for the last two years of PS4 players dominating and make it almost un playable on the PS4. Just a guess.
