Because we are also testing without swing timing so the new changes don’t effect the game as much. Follow along
2K really broke this game with the punishing of fast and slow. That tweak makes the game feel more like a gamble on Xbox.
Really sucks cause now you get punished by the short, off line shots, + high wind events and it’s hard to be competitive when you’re lucky to get a bogey.
Fucking sucks.
Yeah, I’m probably done until it gets fixed.
Everyone who is against equipment bifurcation should be changing their tune right now.
Seriously try the master with no swing timing on. Plays a lot like what it used to play like before the changes.
I was thinking the same thing. I’m already so bad and only play for this league anyway. At this point it’s a grind to convince myself to play through it. Had three drives this morning that we’re red fast swings <250 yards. I can’t stand it.
When we turn swing tempo off you’ll never have a red fast or slow again!
I hope so, dude. At this point, it’s just convincing myself to play to finish this bet with Jonathan.
I’m thinking we just punt on playoffs this time around and chalk it up to a lost season.
Reshuffle flights, change settings, start season 12 fresh.
Might as well change setting now and use that data to reshuffle flights for next season. We probably won’t need as many flights without tempo as I assume that’s the biggest variance between YH and LPCP. @chunKerr is going to be so confused when he comes back.
If it makes you feel better. Check out my Grint round.

A 78! (with 3 holes to go)
He might not be able change settings if the tournaments are already loaded.
Honestly not sure what the biggest difference is between YH and LCPC. I feel like the old settings were, for me, about 15% technique and 85% strategy (where to aim, basically). The current settings move that closer to 35% technique and 65% strategy, and the new changes have probably pushed that closer to 50/50. For reference, I’d peg TGCT at about 25% strategy and 75% technique. I’m more curious about what separates YH from C-suite. My guess would be mostly putting, but also in using and understand draws and fades to use maximize advantage. Maybe there is some math in there to. I use a little bit of crude math from time to time, but I largely just play by feel and have to trust my own judgment.
Maybe it’s just consistency, not unlike real golf. Over three or four holes I can play as well anyone, but I can’t keep it up for 18 holes. I can play with YH guis for a round or two, but I can’t put together that -17 for a round that separates them. I’m not sure any settings changes will ever rectify that.
We will finish this one out. Making changes like this is a recipe for disaster in this game.
Still my first full season in C-Suite, but for me it’s definitely putting holding me back.
It’s crazy HB made such drastic changes this far along. The changes are so far in my head and it’s been UGLY. It would’ve been even worse but I somehow birdied 5 of my last 6 holes in the last event (still finished over par
). I have no idea where my drives and pitches are going to go when I go to swing. Absolute crapshoot.
From LPCP …
What fucks me up is wind, shit feels like it’s random as to when it affects and doesn’t. Same wind on 2 different shots; react very different, couple that with the new swing changes second shots are putting me either short and in the rough. Or full icarito. Then you change the shot for the next hole and it does the opposite.
I blame a lot of that on the swing consistency being non-existent and the changes really punish any mis-hits to almost the point of not having fun.
Pre-changes I’d say it was putting and chipping that were awful.
Now we like Spieth/Rory out here just trying to find something.
With swing timing turned off, that makes the strategy a more important factor, fwiw.
One of the major factors with wind will be your lie. Uphill lie is going to catch more wind and be impacted more. Downhill lie will catch less. Something to keep an eye on.
Yeah I get that.
Problem is with the new swing changes if the winds in your face and you don’t swing prefect and you hit a slight draw or fade, it pushes the ball all over the place.
