Olympic Prolific (Tacoma, WA): May 14-16, 2021 - Fog, Sunburns, Presses, Beers, and Golden Chambers

Apologies for not apologizing sooner, but I’ve been busy watching that Brooks/Bryson video over and over again.

…and I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention that Mr. Olympic Prolific’s ball marker (I feel like @Phillip360’s new name should be Mr Olympic Prolific until he tries to defend his title next year) is from @decentschott, who is #veryinvolved within the NLU community but just couldn’t #getinvolved at the Olympic Prolific because of some work stuff.

I’ll give him a big shoutout!

The one he made for the winner was sick. The one he made @Randy was sick and Randy mentioned it in his “What’s In The Bag” video. And the one he made me is sick.

Forgot to say thank you for this, too!

Anytime, man! Glad you like it! Thanks for putting on the event - even if I couldn’t be there this year, I felt like I lived vicariously though @notjustinkaiser’s Twitter feed.

Can’t wait for next year!

Just wait until you get some patina! Every single one becomes unique.

I DARE you to find someone who reads off numbers in sets of 3 better than me.

I don’t know, @richardlhawkes is pretty good.

Cause reading off his own score is “double, double, double. Double, double, double…” :joy:

(I’m sorry, @richardlhawkes. Love ya, bud)

Lol at you thinking I count my score relative to par, wayyyyy too difficult. Much easier to scan for multiples of five with 7’s and 8’s.

Top notch Phil, top notch

You’re still owed six Skookum’s, I can hang onto them until then, and they’ll be that much better, or I can send them now to a PO Box. Let me know, PS - so glad to hear you give high marks to Chambers over the air, it truly is a life changing place. Be well …

Mr. V aka Matt, we are simply not worthy; honestly your entire weekend should be gratis, plus a 20% tip, minimum. Finding this crew and playing in these events ranks near the very top of my 35 years of golf. Especially Saturday: Witnessed a hole in one, on 15, and actually felt like part of the “team,” played with the winner, the course, the weather, OMG, the weather, and most importantly made some new friends that I’m hoping will last through my remaining years. Much appreciation for the encouragement and welcoming me. Unforgettable!

@bignanski how much begging and pleading would it take…because I am willing to do some pretty ridiculous things for this to be possible

Well I’d have to forego things like the Ope-In and possibly the NSS next year, but that is reeeeallly close to my birthday…

I know The Home Course didn’t get as much love as the others but this was an awesome gesture from their staff!

I try to get a ball marker from each course I play and was bummed they were out of them. The guy took my name/address and didn’t even charge me. A month later and I get this in the mail.
