I looked and can’t find the (currently under attack) rules for the quota game. I know there are standards, but can someone explain/link the numbers here?
Is it just 36-handicap index = quota, where:
eagle = 4
birdie = 3
par = 2
bogey = 1?

@richardlhawkes I think we need to convene an emergency meeting of the High Cap Steering Committee. Seeing a lot of chatter coming through that could negatively impact our ability to do the following:
Properly plan and assess our cap fluffage. We made need to make adjustments in our score management algorithm
Pop Metering. I know for a while we have long counted on the precious “double pop”. This might not be an option if the Low Cap team gets their way.
In short, a lot of damage control I would like to get in front of in the coming 90 days. Might be smart to get a glidepath going with the other team members. @Ghost_of_Ty_Webb and @notjustinkaiser might need to be invited as well.
Eagle = 8
Birdie = 4
Par = 2
Bogey = 1
Other = 0
pretty sure it’s as follows:
Eagle: 8
Birdie: 4
Par: 2
Bogey: 1
Hit a clubhouse window: 16
Triple or worse should be -2.
I like that! Give doubles a break but triple will cost you. That should be a way to equalize for low caps
We can do a net stableford scoring if thats what people want to do
The thing about that is net birdies get the multiplier. I honestly think it can only hurt low caps more
did someone say “net”
Or we could just make a rule triples or worse is -2
I think quota works when everyone is relatively close in handicaps. But when it’s super spread out with a lot of people then it gets lame for low caps.
I wish we had two NIT spots available. Gross/Net seems like the easiest solution.
the -2 rule would surely sting me on #15… but I’d be fine with it. Would put a little fun out there trying to drain an 8 foot double bogey putt to avoid a penalty.
Net triple or gross triple? Because I’m picking up after net double, per the rules of golf and GHIN posting. I follow rules. Especially ones about not switching balls on the green and/or putter shaft angles.
Myself, @lazyjk, and @avess are sharing a 5 bedroom place in Walla Walla and have two rooms available if anyone wants to jump in.
IN!
For a guy that so concerned with rules you should read up on ESC. You could be potentially opening the door for some clear cut rules violations. This is a gross quota tournament after all.
I’ve attached a chart for your review
Is this chart saying I can card a 7 on a par 3?
This was changed from this mess to net double bogey in like 2020.
I stand corrected.
So being that this is a Gross Stableford tournament. If I card a 7 on a par 4. If I’m popping it would be a 6 but for scoring purposes a triple for -2
