If you’re down for hosting then absolutely! The only requirement other than coordinating with the finalists is to snag a pin-flag from your gift shop at some point so we can send it to @geaugolf to make it into a headcover.
I might be able to host at Traditions, but would probably need to be a weekday.
I’ll shoot them a message now.
Signing up as part of my resolution to play more golf. Probably cannot start playing until 4/20.
I can put a West Chester zip down or use our KY one. What would be easier for people?
EDIT: I put the Covington, KY zip code in. Happy to play or host anywhere that works.
Anyone have the signup sheet link, i forgot to bookmark it. Pretty sure i signed up, just want to make sure.
Can confirm you’re on there. But I’ll relink it below just in case anyone needs it.
Alright, we are nearing the time where we need to start considering putting the bracket together so we can get matches rolling. I’m thinking we will need to have the bracket ready to roll somewhere around April 1st. Especially if we’re going to get a double elimination bracket rolling. Which I am pumped about.
As of the moment I’m leaning toward 90% cap with no limit on pops this year as a way to reach out to the lower caps who seem harder done while also not harming those with higher caps this year.
Also, as of right now we only have 3 best ball teams signed up, so that bracket will not be happening I don’t think unless we get at least a few more teams in there.
With only 25 players signed up so far this year this may legitimately be the best chance anyone from Ohio has had to win this tournament so if you’re interested at all, get yourself on the sign up sheet.
My two cents:
- Straight head to head match play should be full hdcps
- Please see previous statement
This is NOT my feeling for team events or individual stroke play/ quota events. Giving strokes sucks giant wampum, but it is what it is.
P.S. I was giving strokes in one match, and getting in 2 others. I lost one of the ones I was getting strokes in if that matters at all
I’m just trying to respond by pressure being put on by the lower caps feeling like they have had a tough time in this competition in recent years. Personally, I don’t necessarily disagree that it should be full caps given the USGA guidance, but I’d rather err on the side of getting more participants and if making it 90% this year gets more lower caps involved then I’m going to go that way.
If I can be frank, I feel like I’ve been put in a tough spot this year and maybe I should have just stepped back and let someone else take over this year. Seeing only 25 signups so far is kind of disheartening after the first three years each getting 60+.
It’s no problem at all, I will abide by whatever.
I can understand that, and I for one do appreciate you administering it. I have only played one year (last year) and I really enjoyed it. It helped me get at least 6 “extra” rounds in that I probably would not have played otherwise.
Also sign up for the mf’ing best ball, people! Team golf fucking rules, please don’t take this away from me!!!

I haven’t been here as long as others but am wondering if that is tied to a decline in roost participation overall. Now that the No Findlay-Ing Up 2025 registration is live, I went back and looked at last year’s event participation:
- No Findlay-Ing Up 2024: 40 players
- OATW Almost Qualifier: 24 players
- Tiki at the Kiki: 27 players
- The Walk in the Park: 8 players
Insert Wolf of Wall Street ‘You gotta pump those numbers up’ gif.
In all fairness Walk in the Park and the almost qualifier were limited field events. But it is a shame only 27 people played the Tiki
A good caveat I should have mentioned for sure
I’m in for another year.

New here, just moved to ne Ohio in January. Is it too late to sign up for this?
Absolutely not! Get on the sign up sheet.
@PersistentlyOverPar and I’ll be closing entries soon so we can work on the bracket.
