Happy to call Pine Dunes but does anyone know if we need to check-in for lodging by a certain time on Friday? Not sure when I’ll be able to get away from the desk for the drive down
I’m not putting any weight into the forecasts until the day of. This one had a forecast of 0.03 inches today and now it says 1+ inch. Things can change!

I’ve only stayed in the condos once, but it has a very non-official vibe. He left our key inside our condo when we got there after hours. You’ll be good no matter what time you get there.

If we are grilling one of the nights does anyone know if their grills are propane or charcoal?

They’re charcoal. We grilled there a month ago. We did have to clean out a ton of ash, and make sure you’ve got something to knock the crap off the grates.
Re Condos. It seems very unofficial. I think we can arrive whenever.
Re Rain. On my Monday huddle today they said 1) course drains well 2) they haven’t had rain in three days 3) they are on a hill so most rain in area passes by them 4) if anything they need rain 5) they can take it.
The vibe I get everytime I call and they see my 512 number…

The only true wet area on Wednesday was the driving range …. Everything else seemed to be good

They’re fully into east texas piney woods, so the soil is hella-sandy. It drains amazingly well. The big downside would be wet/slow/muddy greens, but I have no doubts we’ll get to play, and that’s all that matters.

I played Saturday afternoon. I told my team what the course looks like. Jay and Chris have a word by word script they tell stay and plays. It could be under water and they’d say “we drain better than anyone in Texas” .
