NLU Peloton Thread - Weekly Ride: 30 minute 2010’s Hip Hop Ride with Ally from 7/25/24

probably going to miss this weeks ride. I have a brutal day tomorrow and sat, then hopefully golf Sunday.

I wanted to get in my weekly 45min ride tonight, but this is the third day in a row. I almost had myself talked into a quick 20min, then the weekly ride, but dammit I ate that half peanut butter sandwich after soccer because I was going to do a 45.

I was keeping good pace to start, then the 8min climb jumped me in front of the PR pace. I dropped back to about 10kj behind until I saw some jamoke in front of me on the board riding with the tag “trumpwon2020.”

They both lost.

ok fine, I only PR’d by 1kj…but I still did it because I decided I wanted to. no reason you can’t decide to do it too.

Just when you get a little cocky with your output numbers you see a professional athlete that you follow post their ride. :exploding_head:

I question whether that person is human. I just can’t comprehend 395 average output for 30 minutes. It’s like trying to understand the size of the universe.

The pro athlete numbers are insane… remember this one from Rory that went viral some time ago?

Absolute menace. I think he did say that he didn’t do that ride on his personal bike and he thought it was juiced but I mean… still…

45 minutes with average 60 resistance and 86 cadence. I know the image shows this. I just felt like it needed to be typed out to comprehend.

On another note… didn’t think I would have a chance to hit the weekly ride this week but snuck it in before football started today (Go Birds!). Not my best, and I was definitely not well hydrated or rested but think I will come back to this one… can definitely see how this could be a PR ride.

Has there been a ride set for this week yet?

shamefully waves to group

I’m out here. Went from riding 4-5x/week in the winter to 1-3x/week with golf and other outdoor activities taking precedent. I’ll get back to a more regular schedule soon. Hope everyone here is doing well and staying healthy!

Sorry for the delay on the update this week folks. Child #1 and I didn’t feel great this weekend so we’re back from getting our brains swabbed for covid. Anyway, we’re off the @EZmiss train of rides this week and have a nomination from @tnord on deck. This week’s ride is Kendall’s 45 Min EDM Ride from 4/22/21. @ChickPhilA please update the title when you’ve got a minute.

  1. hell yeah. rest up before this one. I’ve said my piece about Kendall in here before, but she’s a lot to keep up with on a normal 20min ride. Twice as long and Kendall gettin hyped for the drops? I advise following up this ride with a recovery day. Looking forward to hearing feedback.

  2. Dammit. Now I have to do this one again.

I wasn’t going to do this because I hate EDM and 45 minute rides but… I’ll think about it…

If I did a Jess King ride, you can manage a 45min EDM.

Yea, except our Queen isn’t trying to literally kill you on a Sweat Steady ride. I am not sure I can say the same about Kendall

I’ll take physically challenged over traumatized and confused.

The latest Emma 90s 45-min ride made me gag, I had to stop after the climb. Never puked during or after cardio, and managed to keep it together, but I couldn’t finish it. Anybody else have that happen to them before?

First class in the books. Not horrible.
