I am not scared! Love the structure of these rides and I like Jess. I just need peer pressure these days… I’ll jump on this weekend.
The only metal rides I even know of are by Kendall. I know her Metallica ride kicked a lot of folks asses.
Kendal!
Well that was like getting paged to the psych ward. Not quite my style but I’ve enjoyed some of her other classes. I’ve got to put my name on the google sheet.
A rare PR, either from putting A LOT of aggression into the ride or from making love to my bike—not sure which. Followed up with a great OA chest and arms and a new SS stretch
8/1: don’t forget to update the spreadsheet with your monthly miles!
FTFY
Please do! And add some rides to the nominations tab while you’re there. We’re running low on options.
Are we looking to add more Olivia Tabata rides? I feel like I was met with resistance last time I added one of those.
Can we do a FTP Warmup into FTP Test as a weekly ride?
Thanks to Mr. @greebs for this week’s ride. It’s Ally’s 45 Min 90’s Ride from 12/21/20. Hope everyone has a great week! Please update the title @ChickPhilA
Add whatever you’d like! It’s been a while since a Tabata ride has hit the rotation. And besides, no one is forcing anyone to do anything. Will I take an Olivia Tabata ride if it comes up? Quite possibly. Also, quite possibly not.
Fixed that one for clarity’s sake
Fair enough!
I have done this already it seems. I try now to avoid classes with arm exercises in the middle. They seem so disruptive- I can just take a strength class separately. So apologies to all for recommending this one way back when.
Also wanted to pass along a tip for moving a Peloton, which may or may not have been covered previously here. We’re doing some rearranging in the house and as a result moved our Peloton upstairs. First thing, the bike is damn heavy so be careful. Secondly, we took the bike apart as much as necessary. We took the seat and handlebars off the bike so we only had to move the frame as one piece. The screen itself is pretty heavy which, made it much less top heavy. This might be common knowledge but it made hauling that thing upstairs much easier.
OK, non cycling question here. I absolutely need to get my core into shape. (Back into shape? Eh…well, at least where it used to be, which was not “in shape” but for sure better than it is now.) It’s holding me back in my exercising and my golf game, and it’s time to deal with it.
I remember seeing posts here by, I think, @tchap80 and @marklemcd about Emma’s “Crush Your Core” series that suggested it was … fairly brutal. I can say with calm assured confidence that you guys are both in MUCH better shape than I am.
So, should I instead just take some beginner core strength classes? That results in me needing to be a bit more proactive and schedule them into my stacks, but it also feels like I might not get discouraged if the classes are at least set up to not destroy my soul.
Thoughts?
