I’m back from the dead! First ride since March. So, I’m pretty much dead again.
Welcome! Hope you enjoyed!
About to hop on the live 6 pm eastern Kendall Gwen Stefani ride as my 400th!! If you’re thinking of taking a ride tonight join me.
Update. The ride was super fun. Kendall’s hair extension pony tail kept trying to fall off her head. I got a shout out (right after Hey Baby) and a high five from a user with the name JessKingNYC which I’m going to assume is her.
Justtt shy of 400 output. There’s an arms section so I knew I wasn’t going to be in PR land. I’ll take too 20% in a live class though.
That’s awesome. Her beanie got stuck in her hair in the weekly ride for her (2000s) and it was fairly funny.
I like that the instructors high five. I’ve gotten a few from Wilpers and it always stands out.
I did not respect the Power Zones. After finishing the winter PZP challenge and increasing my FTP 15%, I tried a zone 4 heavy ride this morning after maybe doing 10 rides total in 4 months. Luckily I was able to drop out of the class, drop my FTP to previous level, and jump back into the class with updated zones.
New Power Zones are a struggle! I’ve JUST gotten used to mine and will be starting the new PZP challenge in a few weeks and I’m terrified. Not really, but I do expect my zones to drop slightly
So are old Power Zones if you stopped working out for 3 months.

did a Ben rock ride yesterday, paraphrasing here:
“this one is Wonderwall by a group called Oasis. If you’re not familiar with them you should really check them out!”
I’m debating doing the summer challenge. Right now, I’m lacking workout motivation. Any free time I’d rather sneak in 9 holes or practice, not ride a bike. But I can tell that I’m physically not as strong and not recovering as well from golf as I should be. Not sure the answer is in 150-210 min of Peloton a week, but probably would be better than my current (non-existent) exercise plan.
Yeah for me it’s just a solid way to force me to get on the bike when I can find a “reason” not to far too easily.

He loves that track.
Shout out to David Guetta for this one. Classic track
Peloton activity has been sporadic at best the last few weeks but took a quick break this afternoon for Denis’s new Sturgill Simpson ride. Would recommend if you’re a Sturgill fan like myself. Typically efficient ride from Denis - a few spin-ups, a nice slow, heavy hill (like 40-50 cadence) and a couple sprints to finish.
Trim the outliers and that’s waaaay high. No idea how one gets 318 kj in 20 minutes
