Well that was fun! Passed my 30 minute PR in the final 90 second push and then blew it in the cool down
tough scene.
Took the most recent HIIT and Hills class with Olivia last night. God damn was that hard. I always thought I was working hard on climb classes, but I always come out of the the class with a song or two stuck in my head. I really don’t even remember doing the last 15 minutes and cannot remember a single song. Body is screaming at me today.
Has anyone in here done marathon training and utilized the bike for some cross training? Curious to your plan of attack if willing to share.
My exact feelings from a class with her last week. Only 20 minutes and did not remember a thing, once the class got posted to the library I went and looked at the playlist, not one song rang a bell. Did beat my PR by 19 so I guess it’s effective
blew up my century ride. PR by 25+. For as shitty as I felt earlier this week, this is a helluva endorsement for good sleep and a healthy diet.
EDIT; forgot to include this yesterday. this is what petering out looks like. I think I hit my cardio wall and just couldn’t keep up the cadence. The intervals were short up to that point, and as per usual with Emma the last effort is the hardest one and I was gassed. You can see the output steadily declining because my cadence was dropping, resistance was steady at 70. There was only ~15sec recovery from the last interval instead of 30, and the effort went for a full 1:00 instead of 30sec and I couldn’t sustain that 500 watt pace, my biggest of the ride, for that long.
Damn you Emma, you’re the best.
I sadly fell asleep yesterday and missed doing a stretch or meditation. To keep my streak alive
When I realized at 12:15 am what had happened (when I moved from the couch to the bedroom) I was bummmmmmmed.
New streak starts tomorrow!
So sorry! That’s what happened to me last year!
Ever since someone pointed out that AT will stop pedaling during his inspirational speeches, I can’t unsee it. Really makes me wonder what the other instructors are pedaling at while they talk. It was particularly noticeable when he said “I wouldn’t ask you to do anything that I wouldn’t do!”
Knocked out this weeks ride a few days ago. This was the first “Live From Home” ride I’ve taken and it was quite a stark reminder of how wild and unpredictable things were last May. Pretty amazing they pulled off these rides from instructors’ homes. Anyway, great ride!
Weekly ride update! Finally somewhat on time for once. This one is Ben’s 30 Min Pop Ride from 2/14/21. Thanks for the rec @theHamburglar! Please update the title anytime @ChickPhilA. Have a great week everybody!
Haven’t been on the Peloton as much the last couple weeks because it’s been too nice to be inside instead of outside. But I’ve still been power training even if it’s been outdoors. Saturday I rode for 2:30 where almost all of it was z2 but then on a stretch toward the end I put in a 7 minute z5/6 sufferfest. Based on the result from that, the site I use for analysis thinks my FTP is up, which is good since I’ll be testing soon. That little spike was 7 minutes at 121% of current FTP. It was a real gasser!
Weird, my app says the ride is from 2/15
Is it a time zone thing? I’m on Pacific time here
Huh, 2/14 for me too but I’m also in PST. Could have been early on 2/15 London time.
I did the ride yesterday - not my cup of tea from a music perspective but at least the “out of the saddle” were in the 60s and 70s mostly, which is something I can roll with.
Everybody update the Annual spreadsheet?
I am on a slightly downward trajectory and going to spend at least ten days in April with no bike anywhere near me. Gotta figure out some way to game the system get my minutes elsewhere.
Average performance after a little over two months off. I attempted to make a return about a month ago but my ankle just wasn’t ready. I’ll tell you what, recovering from a traumatic injury is not easy. For those of you that don’t know, I dislocated my ankle in January playing volleyball.
My video and audio cut out after about 3 minutes so I was on my own for most of the ride. My goal was over 300 with cadence and resistance avg at 60.
Hey that’s the new instructor? Haven’t taken a class with him yet, thoughts?
From my brief 2 minutes with him he seemed great! I was enjoying the 2010s music before it cut out.
Oh yes, I re-read your comment. Good for you to keep riding, I would have quit and started over.
