Powerzonepack.com is where I get mine from. I only use the free version so it doesn’t show the line of the ride’s intended zones or give some of the other stats, but shows you where you were zone wise for the ride.
Getting back into this thread after a few months off. Just upgraded my crappy chain drive Pro-Form to the Schwinn IC4. Belt drive is so much smoother and quieter. Still don’t have full leaderboard integration but at least I have cadence and the digital resistance number to follow along with classes better.
It’s a very well made bike for about 40% of the Peloton and shipped in 3 weeks. Anyone who is looking to save some money, I think it’s a good alternative.
I’m doing the marathon training program to get ready for a half marathon in 12 weeks.
So far I’m enjoying it. It’s nice to some motivation in your ear while running outside.
Where’s the race?
tried three new instructors on my recovery day for warmup (Olivia), ride (Robin), and cool down (Jess). I’ll probably find the end of Emma’s catalogue, but consider me intrigued by Jess. Not prepared for the mad hatter and all seeing eye experience yet, but might try out something longer than 5min next time. Each instructor seems to have different “feels” they communicate that I have found helpful in improving technique.
Seems my feet have a habit of falling asleep, is this just getting acclimated or do I need to adjust my cleats?
I was feeling it in the quads a little more than usual today, and think I might be about ready for a rest day to be an actual rest rather than just another light ride.
Sounds like your shoes don’t quite fit correctly.
Well, the instructors talk a lot about wiggling your hands and feet and not just a little. When I started riding my left hand got tingly numb a LOT and for sure it was partially because I wasn’t gripping the handlebars right, but it’s also a natural thing that happens on rides, apparently. If someone is just getting started on the bike like @tnord I think it’s fairly natural. I would try to wiggle my feet as much as possible during the ride.
Dive in headfirst.

Anyone ever look up JK’s So You Think You Can Dance Stuff?
Fascinating.
Young Jess King would have made Young @EZmiss feel some kind of way.
thanks…I’ll give it a shot tomorrow.
I’m a very non-standard build; all torso with a short wingspan. My junk was actually asleep when I got off the other day…which was a new but disconcerting sensation. That combined with it feeling like the front of my shoulders are taking some load makes me think I should move the seat up a little.
I also have a helluva time getting shoes to fit. I wear everything from a 10.5 to 11w, and ordered a 45. I just put the cleats in the middle and they seemed mostly under the balls of my foot.
Seat adjustment is likely but also … invest in padded shorts, my guy. Majorly important.
this is all getting very “serious bizness” very quickly.
on the other hand, the reaction from my wife when I walk out of the bedroom wearing only this might be worth it. Or maybe I should walk “into” the bedroom?
Wife; WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT!?!?
Me, deadpan; we’re both going for rides today. don’t worry about it.
Hey buddy, YOU DO YOU and live your best life
Unfortunately, I’ll be out of the peloton scene for the foreseeable future. I dislocated my ankle last night playing volleyball.
I’ve included the picture for those so inclined.
I wish you a speedy recovery …but I also would’ve appreciated a warning on this image
Sorry! I hid it!
Ouch.
Full sentence.
(But really - hope you make a speedy recovery. At least this injury doesn’t affect video game golf…)
@anon24074719 Did all I could to not un-hide the photo but just couldn’t help myself. Ouch.
Hope that you’re doing as well as you can be given the circumstances. Get well soon!
Bike came yesterday, did the beginner program first ride, 20 min with Tunde, did 20 min with AT this morning and added on a 10 min low impact with Emma. 20 min wasn’t feeling like quite enough, but I’m aware I’m probably taking the easiest classes available so far. Feeling like I want to jump ahead to a little more advanced but don’t want to get ahead of myself.
Bike is awesome, also done a few strength workouts, would love to buy some dumbbells but can’t find any that aren’t $$$$$$$$
