So, question - and hate to use you as an example as others here have crazy high output too - but since you clearly exceed the recommended resistance, how does that work for you? You just go to what is challenging, etc.? Just curious.
Congrats! Next is 650, it’s a terrible pursuit.
For me, I try to just pay attention to the cadence guidance then adjust the resistance to where it is challenging. For this ride, I knew I felt good from the start so I was definitely PR hunting.
That reason is also why I love the PowerZone rides. Less focus on resistance and speed and just focus on the Zone that is right for you.
Woke up a bit later than intended but got my 300th ride in this morning exactly 1 year since our bike was delivered!
I forgot to turn my fan on before I started this climb ride. I was a sweaty mess by the end lol!
I need to take one of those rides
This is why I have my fan on a smart plug so I can just turn it on from my phone midride if I forget.
Found one of the best types of PZ Endurance rides you can do this morning. I’ve got 2 goals this year with cycling: 1) get 300 watts or above on a 45min sweat steady ride (250 is currently my best) and 2) 300w for an hour around the velodrome in Golden Gate Park (I find it easier to hold watts outside).
This workout is one that I will be repeating endlessly because it’s exactly what a cyclist needs 2-3 times a week to raise FTP: 2 x 20min.
Do “The Last Dance” ride that Alex Toussaint put out right after it ended…full of music and good vibes from the documentary. Easily one of my favorite and most-replayed rides of 2020!
A good, tough, endurance and strength building ride. Thought I’d do better on a 30min Climb with Firestarter and Sandstorm on the playlist. But, still a good ride for me.
The most “replayed” ride is interesting. I haven’t replayed many rides as I tend to always have plenty of options on new rides that pique my interest, but would love to hear if there are certain rides that folks have done multiple times. My favorite and most replayed ride to date is Emma Lovewell’s Florence & the Machine (deemed a Pop Ride as this may have been before they started doing Artist Series?) on 5/24/2018.
First FTP test done - completely left it out there.
Had the bike for two months now and have really enjoyed the PZ rides. I’m going to commit to a steady 3-4 PZ rides for the next two months and see how much I can drive that number up.
Oooh. Bookmarked. Thanks!
All sold out of these but I subscribed for a restock notice. Its expensive and in theory any old towel will do the same but this looks better and has more coverage than what I put under the bike
First ride since March since a blizzard here made running outside a bad idea (my apartment building has a bike, I did not buy one and then let it sit idle for nine months).
Missed you Emma!
well you kicked my butt.
I just did the same one. Emma is my favorite that I’ve found so far. glad to set a PR even though I’ve only had the bike for a week. took yesterday “off” going back and doing one of the low impact rides as suggested.
for those of you that do other strength stuff also, do you do it on the same day as your harder rides or do you alternate with rides then strength? my whole workout took almost 1.5hrs today with rower, bike ride/cooldown, then some KBs to finish and that’s just not going to work day to day.
Hitting my first plateau/regression. Very frustrating when you can’t set a new PR every time you try. Guess it’s time to go lefty.
/ducks
Wasn’t sure if I was going to go after this until I saw Fugaizi and Max_Power post some good numbers to chase. Previous 30’ PR was 596kj, so that’s a huge jump. I’m absolutely shattered. Felt like I was redlining just 3 minutes in after apparently being too cautious on pretty much all of my previous rides. Definitely seeing some big improvements in how quickly I recover from big exertions in the middle of the ride.
Well we purchased it this morning, delivery not till April though. Soon I’ll be more than just an App rider
Did you end up using the code for accessories?
