Holy smokes. I’ve got a long way to go to get in that neighborhood.
Just bookmarked it. I fell off the wagon towards the weekend. Gotta get back on there tonight.
New to this thread, but hit 250 rides last night.
I sustained a PCL knee injury late in high school during a baseball game and have found that I have absolutely no pain on the bike, whereas, my knee would swell any time I ran more than 5 miles.
This ride was a killer.
Happy that you all seem to enjoy this as much I do.
Nothing special, really.
I’m 35. Like most of us, I suspect, I played sports my whole life. I played football and baseball at a small D3 school. Was always into working out (lifting/running) in my 20s. Then I had kids. I ballooned up to 210lbs in 2017 and decided that was enough. Took on intermittent fasting (great app called ZERO for tracking your fasts, btw). These days I hover around 180lbs.
I’ve always done well in endurance stuff. I ran a half marathon with my then-gf/now wife back in 2010ish. I only trained for 3 weeks and finished under 2 hours.
I don’t go to a gym, but I do a fair amount of body weight exercises at home (pushups, dips, pullups, planks, burpees, etc.).
Got a ride in at 10 last night because i took Friday and Sat off. I know what you mean.

You guys are really making me want to break out my bike and trainer and sign up for the Peloton system to start riding with you. Can you do that? Like I don’t need to go buy the $2,500 bike system?
@ohnolan Tag in^
I am lucky my apartment building has two but now when i move out i might need to buy one.
You can do a $13/month plan to access the classes. The resistance is conveyed by their number system of 0-100%, so it can be a little weird on a regular bike or non-Peloton spin bike to match everything up. I had done a lot on a regular spin bike and found I was significantly overestimating resistance, then couldn’t meet the cadence goals.
I mean I all about removing barriers to entry.
Ride a bike and let us know how/what you did and we can give each other virtual Daps. Its more about pushing each other…less about comparing my measly output to @HuckandPray .
The one thing holding me back is the 39 month commitment…
Hell of a turn around haha
We’ve been planning to buy an elliptical but since I’ve already got a bike, trainer, and iPad this seems like a fun option in the mean time
Someone at somepoint said: “just do it” or something like that
I would love to jump in on this but there are no real options at the moment. Spin class is the best
