So happy this thread is here! I’m a long time lurker of the Refuge and finally decided to say hi after listening to @ChickPhilA’s pod today!
I’m from Ohio and have been golfing for almost my whole life! 
I really enjoy listening to the NLU podcasts and love the Strapped series!

As a North Jersey (Union Cty) native who now lives in South Jersey (Camden Cty), all I can say is brava! I can tell you know the insider information when you referenced the can-can sale at ShopRite. The commercials from childhood now are running through my head on repeat.

And now union city mentions have me missing late nights after work getting graveyard shift breakfasts at the 4 star diner and seeing Pastore Music commercials on cable all the time.
Sorry, was Union County, not city. Was more of a Vicki’s diner or Scotchwood diner guy.

(And when it comes to the issue this publication is not without blame. Golf personalities like Paulina Gretzky and Paige Spiranac were elevated to the cover for their sex appeal while years went by without an LPGA player on the front of the magazine.)

This definitely could have been more than just an aside…What’s Golf Digest going to do to improve this…do they have plans for better coverage of Women’s golf, are they dropping the WAG coverage, are they addressing the shitty comments on their posts? I appreciated that insight as well but curious what the action will be…
