Preserve logo is my fav by a mile

It’s really nice, agreed

Agreed, best on property

I’ll admit, the post fireball/transfusion/IPA shakes/lack of sleep might be getting to me.

What I meant to say is:

Everyone should agree the Ghost Tree is dope and that Ping needs to get its shit together by gifting @astrodupes the bag that was built for him. Seriously never has a piece of equipment fit someone better. You channeled fairways and pulled me out of a dark place by telling me to stare at my ball. Blessings.

Major shoutouts go to my travel mates @CG91OD who did not shitpost or side eye me when I kicked our door in(figuratively) with a takeout pizza Monday at midnight. @Waffles for being the vibiest gui on the planet. If you were fortunate to have either one them on one your rounds it was his gift to you and the world. @tkeats we rolled the Southwest airline dice twice as well as Vegas slots a lot more, while losing spectacularly in both cases (flight attendants had it in for us) and of course had to take on Doak together at Pac Dunes to continue getting punished.

@ChickPhilA it was seriously like we played No.4 the day prior when we had our round at Sheep Ranch. Just an amazing walk with a great friend. @MrChickPhilA cant wait to see what we can make happen in the future and congrats on the 78!

@OffTheDole for a very enjoyable round AND getting to witness that famous putter. Chefs kiss.

@NYC for draining that sudden death bomb of a putt to pull out the victory against team @MerchCzar at the punchbowl.

Mr. 69 (niceeeee) @MattyB it was a thrill watching you play Trails. I also attempted to help the gui along by ‘showing him the line’ and promptly putting said ball and that information 3 feet to the right. I did not help. At all.

I missed so many people I know and will make up for it in the coming days. Seriously though it is such a credit to these trips that within a day almost total strangers to one another connect and start friendships.

No shot.

  1. Bandon puffin
  2. Trails butterfly
  3. Ghost tree alt logo

Does anything after top 3 matter?

Hell, the Preserve logo might even sell better

In terms of merch sales you think Preserve is doing more than SR?

I’ve seen a lot of that “green butterfly around the 13 flag” merch in the wild

And maybe I’ve seen the SR logo a lot, too, but it sure as hell doesn’t make an impression/make itself known

My plan going in was to find one really nice piece. Since I just got a new putter, named Eddie Vedder the 2nd, and it behaved I snagged this:

Hope it’s not like modern day Matt Cameron-era Even Flow being played way too fast every time.

Keep that beauty at a nice Krusen/Dave A tempo.

All of the Bandon logos stink. Can’t believe Keiser outsourced them all to Fiverr.

After a day of reflecting, wanted to add my course rankings as well. Thanks again to all of the NLU guys for making this truly a memorable trip. It was awesome to meet everyone and put faces with handles. We definitely lucked out on the weather aside from 20 mins (managed to hit my best shot at 11 on Pac in the wind).

Well here it goes.

My ranking of the best courses:
Bandon
Pac
Trails
Old Mac
Sheep

In order of most excited to play:
Bandon
Old Mac
Pac
Trails
Sheep

Trails has by far the best par 3s, Sheep has my least favorite par 3s. I love the par 5s at Bandon. Outside of the volcano hole and 8, all of the inland holes are meh at Sheep. I know Pac takes a ton of heat and it’s warranted but I tend to like hard golf courses as it keeps me more engaged and it’s why it remains higher up my list. Our post round Pac vent session with @Tron was great to fully unpack the course. I think the macro of that course (routing, views) is great but the micro (bunker faces, random mounds) needs improvement and unfortunately the Doakito is too arrogant to ever make changes. I was also glad to play the Preserve for the first time but I’m not itching to play it again.

In terms of food, Sheep has hands down the best breakfast options and Trails has the best lunch. Favorites were the corned beef breakfast burrito and the poke bowl.

Can’t wait to get back and get to more events in the future!

That was awesome! Your two shots on #13 were worth the trip alone!

Best food on the property was the short rib poutine at McKee’s.

I housed the lamb stew at Sheep Ranch before teeing off and that was stellar. :pinched_fingers:t4:
