Can we talk about the guy out there firing a 66 and beating his quota by 9??? Holy shit! There was some great golf out there. Sounds like a blast.
Alligood is a stud who played at UNF. He recently qualified for the KFT event at the Valley Course at TPC Sawgrass.
I think Boots, Hayes & Co. took home the trophy that day. Quite the home field advantageā¦
Good Lord was it hot as Hades today.
My recollection from the day is Iām generally pretty much trash at golf. However, Iām pretty sure everyone felt it today. @Soly even sounded down about his 76 from the tips.
All in all I had like one decent putt, a missed bird and some decent drives and flop shots. Otherwise I was lost off the tee and constantly in the woods. You really hate to see it.
Rumor mill is currently saying @Tron is thinking about going full-time lefty on wedges given his recent performance.
@PGA_ALLTHEWAY was an absolute gent and lended me some balls after all of mine somehow found their ways to the great golf beyond. Which is likely either in a sawgrass bush or at the bottom of a pond.
Also @Hwhite landed one of the nastiest closest to the pins Iāve seen in my short career. For those who didnāt see, it was pretty dang close to a HOI.
On another par 3 the closest to the pin was on the fringe? Did that ever get sorted out?
Thanks to everyone who put this together. I donāt know everyone involved but thank you. Even though I played like shit, it was a good time meeting fellow golfnuts.
Lastly, I didnāt come in last! My only real goal for this, and somehow scrapped by with one of the worst scores of the day.
Oh, and during all of this, LIVERPOOL WON THE LEAGUE!

LOW HANDICAP PRIVILEGE
Just now feeling somewhat recovered from getting absolutely toasted in the Florida sun yesterday afternoon!
Huge thanks to all of the NLU guys and TB for setting up such a awesome event, course conditions and set up were prime besides the tees on 7.
Had an awesome seeing @JCO, @PGA_ALLTHEWAY, @Schikolas, @palmerwood52 and enjoying a few cold beers with @MerchCzar that he owed me after our match.
@PGA_ALLTHEWAY IāM ALL IN ON THAT MATCH ANYTIME!
@Tron, @MerchCzar
Itās true Harry the lurker beat me 2&1 on the day after finishing all square on the front nine (we played a gentlemenās 5-5-5 with no presses). My 83 was disappointing, but Iām telling you guys buy stock in the Czar cuz my game is trending baby!
Thanks to everyone for coming out yesterday. Hopefully future JBGA Thursday games have that kind of turn out and pace of play (it was excellent)!
I would buy plenty of @MerchCzar stock right now, especially with a focus on the putting aspect. Yesterday was an 83 that could/should have been a 76 if just a few putts fell instead of hanging on the lip.
In Neilās defense he was pretty generous and gave me 2 shots a side, might need a rematch just straight up.
Did the @MerchCzar go long on Any approach shot?
My kid says there is no question. Its in his nature.
Long Left on 4, 9, 14, 16 yesterday!
well⦠we got gusted on #4, #9 was a 7 iron and your caddie had you hit 5 but the others were true icarito fashion
Nathan was also long on two holes in the junior golf tournament.
You and @Randy will share my pride in recognizing his second place finish behind Killer Wyatt who is son of prior club champ and now three time winner of the junior tournament.
Nathan says putting cost him his chance at the championship trophy. Fans will recall his distinctive whole body/full throttle driver swing and apparently things were synced up today.
QUALIFIERS
@tron (straight-up, it was a pretty remarkable performance)
Andre Green - joining nest today, possibly the
@JTShelley42
@djpie
@Hwhite
Matt Roberts - TBD
@Cubsfan2487 - joining nest today
@soly
As of now, 1st alt from this site is the course architect, Harrison Minchew, who finished 1 point behind Soly. Should Matt Roberts not sign up for the Nest then Harrison is in and @bdw8487 is our 1st alt from this site.
Really enjoyed the event, a lot of fun playing with Big Randy. And yes, Iāll be joining nest today. Looking forward to meeting more people and of course more golf.
Quite the turnaround for @Tron and @djpie from the CA event, whew
At least we only have to worry about the self-exemption from the Randy and Neil at this pointā¦
Congrats to my playing partner @jtshelley42 for locking up a spot in the NIT by completely killing it on the back nine!
Thanks @Tron for putting on a great event. Even though I left my golf game back in NC, I thoroughly enjoyed the day and the company. Looking forward to next time!
Thanks for making the trip down, Frank. And for braving the heat! Was great to meet you.
Thanks for taking the time to clear everything up in terms of the qualifying.
Great hanging out with everyone afterwards, cannot stress how much fun that was, made my drive back to Vero a lot easier.
