I’m pretty sure I can recall…Blew a drive out to the right…went for a miracle runner to the green…missed. Stuffed behind a bush…hit a fairly miraculous/lucky flop shot. Cashed the putt. Par. 4. Looks like it was worth zero…Nice.
Well, it was a par 3 hole.
Is it? I’m thinking of 14? Is 14 the dogleg?
15 is the dogleg
14 is the 3 with water left.
Is it the little one that slopes hard left with the pin tucked way way left in the afternoon?? I hit a sawed-off PW to six feet and putted it off the green if I recall. Nasty bogey.
Did the same thing.
Seems like we might need a little more oversight on the scoring in future events.
Great hole. Loved that green. Loved all the greens, frankly.
Jax beach was great. Definitely a model more cities with municipals need to follow
Hmmm. Birdies. I’ve got to figure out how to do that. Maybe that should be my winter project. How to make birdies.
Jax Beach is nicer than most of the private clubs around LA. It’s everything right in golf. One critique: Friday I asked the bar tender for a “vodka soda, please.” And she said something like “all the sodas are at the bar inside.” And I said “No, like club soda. Perhaps you have sparkling water?” And she said “Like Ginger Ale?” And I had about a half a dozen lovely vodka/ginger ales. Lovely drink.
I don’t know what a muni could do to have better greens.
Rully good.
I also attempted to secure a vodka soda, and was offered Sprite.
Should have had her add a splash of grape juice, transfusions are delightful.
I must say it was great playing with you and @Espendogger as you followed Youth Soccer updates back home while @mintbucket housed us all.
@Hitchings21, @BushwoodCaddie and @anon29849602 gave me the “three peat” of rounds with North Carolinians. A treat.
I also completed the Snell Treble this week. (s/o @TheThirdSnell)
Not one for vodka/tonic?
We really displayed the range this weekend: rounds of 86, 78, 90
@anon24718094 is partly responsible for the Saturday morning 90 burger
Skinny girls drink vodka soda.
