Sorry, I have been hanging out on Youtube a lot lately trying to just let shit play in the background while I work.
Anyway, somehow, I have been just absolutely devouring old Korn and Slipknot sets. I have no idea why. But it’s been going on for a few days now and I think it may be a problem.
This is so sick. I can’t even imagine what this would have been like in 1999. I fucking love it.
Since the Euros start today, I will be blasting the greatest football song of all time multiple times a day, every day, for the next month. If you can combine New Order, John Barnes rapping, and classic Umbro shirts, you’re going to be successful.
This might be the best way to describe it. I started the special and have to finish it still.
It’s almost too heavy in the sense that despite being funny and clever it was also almost overwhelming because he actually is able to bring back the feeling of isolation felt during the past year. You have to be in the right frame of mind to watch it (I think)
Probably sound like an idiot, but that’s how I felt.
This song came on a tv show I was watching last night and it immediately got me nodding my head, a proper “toe-tapper”. Now listening to their other stuff on Spotify, but this song is very much my cup of tea.
Broncho’s first album is great. Kinda bummed that they came along right around the time I slowed down going to shows (2010 to 2012 I was averaging about 50 per year), and they didn’t hit Chicago very often.
Going back to the thread title. The Walken, who are one of my favorite bands of all time, did a cover of Another One Goes By, by Mazarin (Quentin Stoltzfus). I actually fell in love with the original version first, but many of my friends prefer the cover, which was the last song on “100 Miles Off”. Decide for yourself.
Things like singing along with a sold out crowd to song alike my hero, breakout, times like these, and so many more. God I’ve waited a long time to have that experience again.
Also things like freaking Dave Chappelle coming out to sing a cover of Radiohead’s creep!!!
Also the live debut of the Dee Gees - aka the foo fighters doing bee gees songs. “You should be dancing” was a good time.
