itā€™s one of those tracks I heard randomly a long long time ago, but didnā€™t know what, or who it was and have been on the hunt for it ever since. now thanks to KC Badger I have it. For a while I thought it was Bob Mould, but that obviously didnā€™t pan out.

first song that ever hit me like that was Depeche Mode enjoy the silence. My grandparents had cable/MTV and we did not. I saw the video at their house and couldnā€™t shake the song until I finally found out what it was in college during the limewire days. Iā€™m pretty sure that one song, at 9yo, is the reason Iā€™m kinda into new wave/80s music.

Itā€™s an intro. The title track is the true opener. Plus if you see it live ā€œThe Ring in Returnā€ plays over the PA before they even take the stage
