Music Suggestions 2 - driving fast in my car

There have been some good ones listed already to be sure, but there is a right answer here and it is “Alive,” by Pearl Jam.

First single, broke a new band to mega stardom, still owns a stadium full of people.

I submit track 3 from the album of the same name, Mantis by Umphrey’s McGee.

And of course, the live version is more fun.

Yes, an Umphreak! When I need to calm my golf nerves I put on a solid Glory and let it roll.

I thought, was hoping, the 3rd song for Paul’s Boutique was Egg Man. Johnny Ryall is still great:

An idea for a future topic for this thread: the album you are the biggest fan of. Not your favourite album, but the album that you like more than anyone else in the world. I feel there could be some interesting stories (how you found it, why it’s your favourite, best tracks, etc.).

3rd Tracks!

  1. One of the most romantically upbeat indie rock songs of all time.
  1. Hardcore - Great song and crazy ass music video (I have no idea how it hasn’t been flagged by Youtube lol). Features former Sabres wing Drew Stafford, “El Bandido Blanco” (aka cocaine use), a flaccid penis in nothing but a condom, and lots of fighting and drinking.

  1. Ryan Adams (RIP):

Any Minus the Bear reference gets a like from me! I think Let’s Play Guitar in a Five Guitar Band is probably the best track on that album.

I remember seeing Dave Knudson’s previous band Botch for one of their last shows together in Sacramento circa 2004. When MTB came out as his next project, it was quite a shock.

LOVE Botch. This is a third track too.
