Change the title and send the crew down a new rabbit hole, dealers choice @ChickPhilA
Last night I was hit with some serious 90s jamz that started with this classic
And? Thoughts?
I had only heard those three and All These Girls. I thought it was fine but probably my least favorite of the 5 and itās not likely Iām seeking it out again.
Yeah I didnāt like it near as much as the others. Just very ok about it.
Album sequencing was always something that intrigued me. In the past few decades of shuffle and singles not sure if many people even pay attention (or listen straight through to an album) but got me thinking about track 3 on albums.
Always felt like the 3rd track was the place where, if not the first single, was a song that really grabbed you.
So letās talk favorite or great ātrack 3āsā!
Going back to high school, @ChickPhilA 's theory checks out.
Radiohead āThe Bendsā
-High and Dry
Smashing Pumpkins āSiamese Dreamā
-Today
Nirvana āNevermindā
-Come As You Are
Screaming Trees āSweet Oblivionā
-Dollar Bill
Frightened Rabbit trifecta here:
āThe Winter of Mixed Drinksā - The Loneliness and The Scream
āPedestrian Verseā - Holy
āPainting of A Panic Attackā - Wish I Was Sober
Havenāt thought about this song in years but itās a 3rd track

Still slaps!
Yes that song RULESSSSSSS
A 3rd track that saved the whole band for me. Just couldnāt get into them at all, heard this, opened the door.
Some other great track 3s
Green Day - welcome to paradise (Kerplunk)
Rancid - roots radical (and out come the wolves)
No Doubt : just a girl (tragic kingdom)
Blink 182 - dammit (dude ranch)
The dead milkmen - Stuart (beelzebubba)
Nada surf : popular (high/low)
Oasis: live forever (definitely maybe) and wonderwall (morning glory)
U2 - āWarā
- New Yearās Day
U2 - āThe Joshua Treeā
- Where the Streets Have No Name
You forgot to @Randy.
I saw Hum play at HFStival in 1995, they were playing as a thunderstorm rolled in behind the stage and I had a head full of acid. It was something else.
I wasnāt aware the big lad is a fan. I typically get the āwho?ā response from most people.
For my money, āStuartā might have the funniest couple opening lines in all of music
There are so many lines from that song that are just gems.
And when I first put two and two together that āthat Johnny wurster kidā was in fact Jon Wurster of superchunk /best show/mountain goats/etcā¦
Sigur Ros has at least a couple of great Track 3s
Untitled 3 from the ( ) album.
