What a bill! MJ was my favorite gig of 2024 and Wild Pink are great live, especially if they have Mike “Slo-Mo” Brenner on the lap steel for that run of dates. If you haven’t already, I highly recommend going back and visiting Billion Little Lights and Yolk in the Fur, some of their best work.

Early warning it’s a slow burn, took a few listens to appreciate - it’s much mellower and more grown up/contemplative than their other stuff. I think it’s really good.

Idk if the spotify fresh finds are picked by software or real people but they sure do find a lot of bangers from bands with like 5-10k listeners
The bit from 1:40 on where it builds, then the kick drum doubles come in…just perfect.
